This was our third trip to the Osa, but the first stay at Brian’s and the first trip without kids. The property has beautiful tropical plants everywhere. The monkeys were daily visitors and they put on a show multiple times each day. The trails to the yoga platform and the beach seemed to always hold a surprise creature crossing our path. Always take your camera! The staff was so nice and always available for any needs you may have. We enjoyed our stay so much and are already planning our return!

Casa Malaquita exceeded our expectations. The Villa is absolutely beautiful; the design, the decorations and the whole place itself is perfectly designed . It’s equipped with everything that you could possibly need, and probably even more . We visited with our one year old; so they arranged a bedside crib for him and even placed a beautiful teddy ( which he snuggled to sleep every night ) . Vero the housekeeper visited daily and even went ahead of her way and prepared breakfast and even cleaned my babies floor mat and toy area . The Villa has a fantastic strategic location, walking distance to the beach and even located in front of a supermarket . We loved everything about the Villa and I am already looking forward to the next big swell in order to stay here again. Thank you for allowing us to stay with you . Pura Vida

Our stay at this charming surf house in Matapalo was nothing short of incredible. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the point, making it a dream for surfers. Waking up to the sounds of the ocean, howler monkeys and being immersed in the raw nature was pure magic. The house itself was immaculate, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Peter and Lance were the most wonderful hosts—kind, accommodating, and always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay perfect. Their hospitality and local knowledge made our experience even more special. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic, and unforgettable escape in Costa Rica, this is the place to be. Beautiful Condo with Roof views!

This was our first time renting an Airbnb in a foreign country, so we were a little nervous. Charles was super helpful and responsive during the whole trip. He gave us great recommendations, scheduled our excursions, and answered all of our questions. The main thing we wanted to do was to go offshore fishing. Charles hooked us up with two great captains (Louis and Donald (Dos Mas), and we had a great day of fishing. The house is located just a very short walk from the pier where you catch the boat. There are also several good restaurants that are within a short walk from the house. We also did an off-road drive and a short hike to the King Louis waterfall, tour of chocolate farm, and went surfing with Keilor (Lakos surf shop in town). We would recommend all of these activities highly. This was a great trip and we had a party of 6 from age 7 to 71. The fishing was amazing.

My family and I cannot say enough about Frank's place with his host Jonathan and wife Ivis. I managed to make every woman's nightmare come true by grabbing another womans luggage! Being so remote and my phone not working that great, Jonathan not only found my luggage, found the other womans luggage and made the long trek back to the airport to make the switch. upon returning his wife surprised me with a homeade birthday cake being it was my birthday! Not only that, he was able to get us fresh fish to cook, give us wonderful directions and recommendations to do and his wife even cooked for us one night. I felt so safe and felt like these people were truly family. I recommend staying here 1 million percent! The views, the hospitality and the good food I'd say we will be back. You won't regret booking here!

If this home is available, you should definitely book it! My family and I stayed at this home for one week and enjoyed everything about it. The home is very private, safe and located on a spacious, beautifully landscaped property. The pool is a wonderful addition, especially for children. We loved the awning over the pool for shade, and sun. The outside terrace area is great for BBQing and relaxing in the hammocks. We loved the quirkiness of the home. It's an older Costa Rican home, but it has everything you need with hot water, AC, and solar panels - so even when the power went out all over Pavones we still had lights and AC. We slept very well in these beds (the room upstairs is bright, but the downstairs room is black-out). The kitchen is fully equipped, easy for cooking meals. The location was top-notch, easy to drive down to Pavones or Pilon for surfing. Last but not least, Valentine is a wonderful host and goes above and beyond. We definitely want to come back! 5 stars!

A magic stay in Matapalo ! We rented both Casa Verde and Avari with 2 other families ( 11 in total ). We ate down in Casa Verde to take advantage of the ocean views and air coming through. The beds were really comfortable up in Casa Avari. ( 2 great doubles with nice outside bathrooms ) There are also 2 sofa beds if needed, but if it rains, the one upstairs can get wet. Such an amazing place to wake up in the morning to the sounds of the jungle and sometimes the monkeys looking in! The little pool area is refreshing and a great space to relax. The beds down in Casa Verde were smaller ( 2 smaller doubles and a twin room down stairs ). The 2 houses work really well together, not sure if it would work as well if there were 2 separate groups. The team on site were great and very helpful! Beach out the front was pretty wild, but there was big swell. Any surfers, be aware, Backwash and Pan dulce are a bit of a slog to walk to, or you need to drive. Miss Matapalo, a great place :)
