Family-friendly vacation rentals in Picnic Bay

We absolutely loved staying at Wendy's. we arrived late due to a delayed flight from Brisbane, and she had extras in the fridge that made the morning so much easier for us. We loved the pool (which we didn't really leave for three days!!) and the fact we had absolutely everything we could have needed, like a fully stocked house. Wendy's place is so close to the airport and to town, we got a few taxis around the place and they were very cheap. We also loved the serenity of the waterfall at the back of her property and the rainforest outlook out the back. We will definitely be back to stay again! Thanks for having us 🙏

Really lovely self-contained villa. Very close to the beach, bus stop and Foodworks. Good value for money and hosts were easily contactable and accommodating.

We had an amazing stay at this Magnetic Island Airbnb! The view of the harbor and ocean between Nelly Bay and Townsville was stunning, and the location offered a total of five pools! While we didn't use all of them, it was great to have options. Kathy's communication was amazing, and the place was spotless and well furnished. We loved being on the lower level as we avoided stairs and had access to the courtyard with the diverse wildlife (rock wallabies and other natives) frequenting the area. The unit also includes personal parking space, which is a nice bonus. Highly recommend - We'll be back!

Simone was very friendly and informative. Her place has EVERYTHING!! Dont take the kitchen sink - like i do! Plenty of cooking utensils, huge fridge/freezer, beach towels, washing gel, shampoo&conditioner, snorkels & flippers, board games & books. So well equipped along with spotless beautiful appartment right on the water and pool outside the door. Thankyou SO much

This property is quirky, clean and just what our family of 4 needed. A simple little island house with the comfort of air-conditioned bedrooms and a great outdoor eating area. The outdoor shower is a real treat that our kids loved.

This unit is one block from The Strand and Rock Pool, easily walkable to the beachfront amenities and restaurants. The unit was easy to enter and fully secure with parking at the door. The whole place was spotlessly clean, with a fully equipped kitchen, comfy sofa and large bedroom with ensuite, including large shower recess. Washing machine also included. Lovely private outdoor area, and the swimming pool is great. The hosts are very communicative, with clear instructions given. I hope to stay here again.

Lighthouse was amazing to stay at. Great location and view. The apartment had everything we needed and the hosts were easy to get onto. It was comfy and clean. A great place to stay.

We had such a fantastic stay at The Butterfly House - really quirky decor and felt lovely and homely for our stay. Location was brilliant, just a very short walk down to the beach and shops/ cafes/ restaurants at Horseshoe Bay. Hosts communicated well and facilitated a lovely holiday!

Cute little cottage within walking distance from the ferry, bars and restaurants. Also a bus stop across the road making it really easy to explore the island without a car. Having our dog with us made it the best holiday! I’d definitely stay again.

The place was very close to the beach- an easy walk. It was quiet and private. There was a pool for swimming. It was on the bus route if you didn’t bring your car. They provided everything- all the linen, consumables such as shampoo soap and loo paper s well as games books and DVDs and info on magnetic island. The place was clean and fans and ac in all rooms. Hosts made us feel welcome and explained how to get there and how to access the place with clarity. Lots of birds wallabies and also we heard a koala but didn’t manage to spot it. Had a great time.

Awesome BnB nestled on top of the hill in Nth ward, great gardens, nice and quiet with the lot. Pool, tennis court, parking and balsamic glaze in the fridge 😊

We had a beautiful stay at Helen & Rob’s property. The location was great and the property and surrounds were peaceful. We enjoyed using the pool and the daily visits from Lucy.

Large house and very convenient to beach, eateries, golf course at Picnic Bay. Pool was very enjoyable.

Absolutely loved our stay at Keesing with the kids. They saw bush turkeys, wallabies and turtles on the neighborhood walks and in the backyard. Kids and adults loved the shaded private pool. Beds were comfortable and the house is a short drive drive to a major shopping center and there was good coffee up the road near the uni. Thanks very much for the local recommendations. It was a great week. would recommend Keesing to any family looking to spend a relaxing holiday in Townsville.

We absolutely loved the location, so close to the beach. Lots to see and do in the vicinity. Beautiful property and so well equipped. Seeing the wallabies on the lawn was great. Just listening to the dawn chorus was fantastic. Extremely good pies from the bakery around the corner. Thanks for a great stay.
