Nick's place is a true hidden gem! We adored the scandi-style interior design overlooking the pacific ocean. Enjoying the rain shower whilst admiring the view is an unforgettably dreamy experience. Even though the property is next to the main house it has optimal privacy, truly creating a sense that it's just you and the big blue. We loved every second of our stay here and can't wait to be back again.

The perfect place to enjoy a couple of peaceful days with beautiful surroundings! James’s place is right by the beach - perfect for swimming, lovely walks or even getting a ferry from the nearby jetty. The studio was super cozy and clean. James and his two sweet dogs are great hosts, made us feel welcome right away! 😊

Colleen and Shelley's place was right by the estuary and close to the beach which was a lovely part of Christchurch to stay in. The yard was well fenced and an excellent place to stay with my two pups. Thanks for having us!

We had such a beautiful stay at the Sumner beach house and the Airbnb was in beautiful condition and had a fantastic layout. We had great access to the bike and helmets and great communication from the house. The three bedrooms are very comfortable and all bedrooms have a great balconywith a beach view. Fun memories were made and if we ever came back to New Zealand, that would be the place that we stay thank you Sheryl for such an amazing accommodation, providing us safe, comfortable accommodations.

We loved this classic kiwi bach..took us right back to our childhood! Awesome location right across from the beach, use of the kayak was fantastic. Even better that we were able to bring our dog on holiday with us. The only slight negative we found was the kitchen dishes/cutlery/tea towels etc were all a bit dirty & smelly, but we simply washed everything we used beforehand. The positives hugely out way the negatives and we’d definitely return again in the future.

overall a great stay. the flat was as expected, fully functional and good equipped. access to the beach was nice, especially to observe the early sunrise. it's outside of New Brighton, to shops and bars it would be a 6+km walk (a bit long). there is a bus stop in front of the house which brings you to New Brighton in 10-15 min and into the city (bus interchange) in 40-45 minutes. with a car you probably would be better off. but it was absolutely OK without. the host Robert is a very nice guy. we had some good chats.

This is a great place to stay, very spacious, and excellent location. Check in was easy and communication with Darren was very responsive. The apartment has its own dedicated car parking space. Darren provided an extensive list of recommended 'things to do' etc. Being winter, Darren had turned on heaters for our arrival and provided some milk in the fridge. Very good value for money, thank you Darren.

Darren's place was perfectly located - took no longer than 15 mins to walk to the other side of Akaroa, with so many bars, restaurants and shops in between. The apartment was exactly as described and was clean, cosy and just as the photos depict it. We would definitely stay again!

The place is exactly like the pictures. super cozy. it has a beautiful view. Close to everything. I had a great night. It was a pity that the swimming competition was canceled and the place is no longer being used. Thank you.

Such a lovely space. Hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Accomodation was prefect and well worth it, views were private so no one could see in but gave us a lovely vista of the wharf & harbour. Seating was comfortable. Will definitely be back. x

Absolutely fabulous, but don't underestimate the hike: a good pair of boots is a must. My teenager loved the challenge, us elderly overweight folks took our time (I think it took us over 2h). It was a hot sunny day, and we arrived at our private beach for a swim to cool down. Expect basic hut accommodation, great beach, short but serious hike. Quick response from Wendy when we called her.

We enjoyed our stay. Debbie’s place is in close proximity to the beach and many delicious restaurants and cafes.

Stayed at Jackie’s place just for a night before flying out of Christchurch. The pictures do not do this space justice! A lovely little apartment in the middle of Akaroa, everything is walkable. The space was extremely clean and well put together, I had everything I needed and more for my stay. Double balcony off the living and bedrooms, comfortable bathroom. Living room was more spacious than expected and all furniture was extremely comfortable. Jackie was very communicative and gave great instructions on how to find the parking. If you’re visiting this area you can’t go wrong staying here!

Lana's place was paradise for us! Extremely clean, a few steps to the beach, and beautifully decorated. She has a keen eye for detail and was highly responsive. Lana organized surf boards/paddle boards for us which were the cherry on top! Thank you Lana for an amazing stay!

Perfect location - you couldn't ask for a better view. Clean, neat, comfortable apartment. Right in the middle of everything. I wouldn't stay anywhere else and I know my friend from Christchurch will make this her go-to place to stay when showing off Akaroa to visitors.
