It was an awesome holiday! The place is as described. Let me cover a few points that are not mentioned in the description and may help future guests: - The property is situated right next to the Naukuchiatal road. One can literally drive right on to the property - Parking is at the road level. No steep climb involved. - Parking space good enough for 2 big cars or 3 small cars (back-to-back parking) - Two flights of staircases to climb down to the cottage - The steps of the stairs are gently low and wide - Food is delivered by the restaurants nearby - There is no dearth of space within the rooms. All the rooms are very spacious and airy. - The beds are extra king size. 2 adults and 2 kids can sleep comfortably on one bed! Although the caretaker Pawanji was kind, however, please ask for a detailed bill if you seek his service for getting anything from outside.

Beautiful cottage with a pristine view of the Bhimtal lake. You can enjoy your morning coffee/tea with a clear lake view from the balcony or the garden and marvel at the stars in the night. The caretaker Pawan was very helpful, proactively reaching out to tell us about the cottage details and how to reach the cottage. He also helped us procure anything we needed. He also suggested a restaurant which could deliver food to the house. You can also hire a cook if you wat. The rooms are clean, spacious with 2 huge drawing rooms. Nothing fancy, but everything was maintained and as per the descriptions. The approach road is a bit tricky as the cottage is on top of a small hill, but Pawan helped us easily navigate to the house. Lots of eateries nearby, but you'll need to make a small trek up and down the hill or use a car. There is ample parking available at house. Definitely recommended for groups of 4-6 people looking for a relaxing vacation.

We booked this stay for 2 nights and had a great time. Situated between Bhimtal & Naukuchiatal, this stay offers mesmerizing views of the valleys and the lakes. Thanks to the caretaker Lalit, we felt right at home. The place was exactly like the pictures, the cottage was spotless and squeaky clean when we arrived. Best part is that they have a restaurant and offer a variety of veg & non-veg options. We wouldn't hesitate from recommending this to our friends and family.

Firstly, the property has simply the best view of Bhimtal Lake. It's a beautiful place where you can spend time with your loved ones. The rooms also are facing the lake . The host is very helpful and friendly. It felt like home. As I am a local here I visit different properties but the Pencil House is one of the best property that I have been to in Bhimtal. Definately would recommend people to experience the beauty of this property but would also request the visitors to keep the place clean. Thank you Chitra Ji for the lovely stay ❤️

We had an amazing stay at the property. The house is cozy and the views of the lake are amazing. The property has multiple gardens where we spent most of our time. Look forward to visiting again very soon! Thanks to Avlokita and Amita for hosting us.

The property was just as expected. Everything was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The food prepared by the staff was also amazing. Would recommend it to everyone.
