This rustic beauty is a hidden gem nestled in the wilderness, offering incredible views of the mountains and free bird concerts at dusk and at dawn. If you want a relaxing and peaceful getaway with your loved ones this place is an excellent option. And, you won’t need to worry about food and safety, as Mehdi and the caretakers will always be there to help you. Of course, we were told that we could be left completely to ourselves if we wished that, so you have that option as well. This plan also has the advantage of a private viewpoint from a steep precipice, which may be rare, especially for a place that’s affordable. Access to this place itself is a bit of adventure, as it involves 2 kms of off-roading. Although, access to the areas within the premises are steep, so older people have to watch out. Also, the tap water is a bit muddy if you care about it. Overall though we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and it’s pity that we couldn’t plan to stay longer. Kudos to Mehdi and his team!

one of the best stays to feel serene and tranquil in a quite environment surrounded by lush green, away busy city bangarang. Stay was well maintained by a group of friendly and helpful care takers. Highly recommended to people looking forward to stay heartsease in a noise free environment.

We stayed here for 2 nights, with a gap of 2 days in between. Our experience on both occasions was great. The young couple managing this property, Hezekiah and Jasmine, were very pleasant, understanding and accommodative. They went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Our special needs were immediately met. For us senior citizens, it mattered a lot. All listed amenities were in perfect condition. This stand alone property with 2 bedrooms and a large parking lot is in a very good condition. It is more suited for guests with dedicated transport as the property lies at the edge of a peaceful suburb. We will definitely prefer to stay here, the next time we visit Madurai. Thanks Hez & Jas.

It was an honour to stay at this place! The apartment is just inside the Grace Kennett Foundation, it is made of two bedrooms with their own bathroom and a kitchen with washing machine. Both Augustus and his team were super nice and welcoming! We highly recommend it!

We stopped for a night at Vijay's place and it ended up as a great stay. He is friendly, responsive and accommodative of all requests. He's thoughtful too - evidenced by the fact that the bedroom air-conditioning had been switched on before we arrived. We had a pleasant stay. Great choice for families who would like a safe and decent stay at a nominal price in Madurai. A word about the garden, the lake and the pets - the terrace garden is a great place to spend some time if you are a plant lover. The lake near the place attracts all kinds of birds that want the fish in it - great sights during the early hours of the morning- I could spot Kingfishers, Egrets, Herons etc. The dogs and the birds will make you forget your worries. A great stay for the price and a great host.

Loved it

We wanted to visit Meenakshi temple so we booked this Airbnb for one day. It’s 5 km from railway station. We loved our stay at Sam’s place. Sam was very responsive and gave us clear instructions on how to reach the place and what to do in Madurai. You will have 1bhk to yourself. You will get all the amenities you want in your home. The complimentary breakfast was good. Loved the idlis. Caretaker akka packed us food for our train journey on our day of check out. Also if the house is empty they allow early check in without any cost.
