…our stay at Aqua guest house was short lived. We arrived later than expected, and were shocked at the state of the road that the sat nav took us on, huge craters filled with water, so it was difficult to navigate. When we arrived there was no hot water for a shower and the drinking water pump didnt work, but by this time it was quite late so we contacted Sarah in the morning. She sent someone to check and it turned out that this complex is in the process of being renovated/refurbished, with another floor being added and they'd turned off the power to service the boilers. We went to the beach, but found it was quite windy, dirty and also a lot of seaweed, so we came back to relax at the pool. unfortunately a builder was chipping away some concrete nearby which went on all afternoon. The next morning we were woken early, by hammering noises above us, in the new build. We'd had enough by now, and contacted sarah to advise that we would be leaving. Sarah offered 20% off our two nights…

…A spacious one bedroomed apartment. Very near the beach at the quiet end of town, 30 minutes walk to the main town along the beach. we enjoyed swimming and watching the pelicans diving all around us. It has a lovely shared courtyard and pool there is washing machine and dryer for 100 pesos. The bed was very comfortable and a really great shower, kitchen had everything we needed. Sarah was extremely helpful and communication was the best we have ever had on abnb she took time to talk to us about restaurants and places to go in fact when my husband was ill she couldn’t have been kinder. We really like Puerto Morelos as it was full of character with nice restaurants and beach but less touristy than other areas on this coastline. We enjoyed lunch at Crazy fish tacos nice vibe good views and they were great tacos! You would need to have a car or hire a bike which are available from Sarah and Gerzon as the town is a 15 minute bike ride away.…
