February, 2025Marilyn’s place is a great location, right in the center of the village. The place is no bigger than a dorm room, which was fine for just my husband and I. Once we pulled down the Murphy bed, there wasn’t a lot of room to move around the kitchenette. The TV doesn’t work, but there was a supply of DVDs, which we watched because it was raining and we couldn’t ski. There was one knife and one spoon in the unit, but there were dishes, cups, glasses, and pots and pans. Luckily, I brought my own blanket. One blanket in the closet was full of moth holes, and the other was dirty. I took the bedspread off the Murphy bed because I figured if a blanket was dirty, the bedspread probably was too. Surprisingly though, the Murphy bed was comfortable. All in all, our expectations weren’t too high, knowing that Rim Fire is one of the older places at Snowshoe. You really can’t beat the location. This unit is just not well-maintained, but doable.

February, 2025Amazing location in the village, best hot tub of any building! This makes it all worth it! The unit itself was very small and old, could use quite a bit of updates. The bed was nice and soft. You are definitely timely paying for location and amenities with this one, but still worth it in my eyes.

January, 2025The place is very old and in disrepair. Host mentions an upgrade but that just means a new floor and the upper half of the walls were painted. Bottom half of the wall and all the doors in the kitchen are really outdated and falling apart. We were never able to get internet or television in the unit. Freezer needs to be defrosted and the pots and pans replaced. I would not go back.
