Beachfront vacation rentals in Ottawa River

We stayed 4 nights at Bryan's cottage and had a wonderful time. Very beautiful view of the lake. Although it was still a bit chilly in April, we were very cozy and warm at the cottage. It was very clean, well stocked, and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. The cottage even had some board games. Bryan was very responsive and was a great host overall. 5/5. Would highly recommend!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this cottage. It was clean, it had a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable rooms to sleep. The check-in process was easy and everything was easy to find in the home. Our kids loved the ping pong table. The hot tub was especially lovely as the weather was a bit cooler than we had hoped for! Again, a lovely visit and we would highly recommend. This is an excellently kept AirBnB and a really kind and thoughtful host. We had forgotten some belongings behind and were quickly notified and he offered to ship them back to us, making our life so much easier and solving a problem that could have been a headache! We will be back in the future!

We are a family of four with two young kids, and the stay in Azar’s peaceful waters cottage was great. The cottage is beautiful, decorated in very good taste, perfectly equipped and feels very homey. It is very clear that many details have been thought of to make it extremely friendly for guests, particularly for families (for example, there were spare change of sheets in the children’s bedrooms). We stayed there during a snowstorm weekend, so there we didn’t do a lot of travel around the area, but just staying in and hanging around the cottage was beautiful and very enjoyable. The location is very private and quiet. It is a perfect place for families. We would definitely come back to Azar’s cottage to visit the area at other seasons as well.

Words cannot describe how impressed we were with Laughing Moose. The minute I walked in the front door I felt I could live here for ever. The incredible views, the spacious kitchen the stylish little pieces of decor make this place comfortable, relaxing and luxury. Janice pays attention to every little detail to ensure we had a fabulous time! From the selection of quality glasses, crockery and cooking utensils to the games and puzzles ( we completed a full jig saw puzzle between us) we had everything we could possibly need and much more. Even a thoughtful and delicious blueberry pie to welcome us !! We were visiting from Australia and planned this weekend with our two sons and families for a getaway together. It couldn’t have been more perfect and we made such fabulous memories. So much space for all 8 of us plus the 2 dogs! I can’t thank you enough for this special visit! What an amazing place to stay located in such beautiful surroundings. Every minute of our stay at this property was exactly what we were looking for in a four day weekend at a cottage. Mary Ann and Oliver are the perfect hosts and made sure that we had everything that we needed and they both went above and beyond for us. Peter was very quick with his responses and took the time to look up what was near the air bnb. The location was amazing since it was right beside a ski resort and 20 minutes away was the most beautiful skating trail in the forest. The air bnb itself was very nice. We cooked dinner and it had everything we needed and seasoning as well. The only thing would be the TV which we didn’t bring a laptop to connect to, which Peter did communicate to us we needed. It was a very great stay and Peter was ever helpful and kind ! Will come back in the summer for the lake.

Lovely space, we were 3 sibblings with our families - room for everyone to hang out and spread out. We appreciated the great kitchen and comfy furniture. Beds were comfortable and we were able to have our dogs as well.

Great private place that offers everything you want for a weekend getaway! Host was very helpful and responded within minutes to all our questions. Highly recommended!

This is our Second time staying at this location! Once again we had a wonderful ski vacation. The place is always spotless and includes everything needed and more. We had an absolutely wonderful stay in here. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Our host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making the check-in process smooth. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and would definitely stay here again!

Gary & Mina were excellent hosts. They greeted us for check in and where very accommodating. Any questions we had were quickly answered via the AirBNB app. The house was full of character and had lots of things to do indoors and outdoors. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies, utensils and kitchen wares. There was a washer/dryer centrally located which was great for towels and the Weber BBQ was in top notch condition. Water toys well maintained (2 kayaks, 1 paddle board, 1 canoe and 1 paddle boat). Pool and hot tub worked great, which was a must for our cottage getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay. This home had everything we needed and it felt cozy and comfortable. France was extremely helpful and responsive and the neighborhood is cozy and quiet. We will definitely be back soon.

Even with a series of unfortunate weather events the stay was great! Do and family are responsive and kind and the place was fantastic! We will be back!

We rented Amanda's place for 2 nights in the winter and it surpassed our expectations! Amanda was a great communicator. The older cottage has been extensively renovated, it was clean, comfortable and cozy. We loved the wood stove and the heating system worked well. The kitchen is first-rate, and very well-equipped, it even had decent knives! We cook a lot and we very much enjoyed making meals there. We loved watching the ever-changing weather on the river from the picture window in the living room, and even saw a beautiful sunrise. The star of our stay was the sauna—we have a wood-burning sauna at home and at our cottage—and we were very impressed with its size, the modern design, the huge picture window and the style of stove. It got up to temperature even in -17 degree weather. We hiked and snowshoed in the Alexander Hope Smith Nature Reserve which was a walk from the cottage. The town of Washago was a 11 minute drive, with a great grocery store. Would definitely stay there again!

This was an excellent place for our group of 8, lots of space and equipped with everything. It was really nice to have the hot tub under a shelter, the kitchen and living areas were spacious. The two separate eating areas were ideal for the group , lovely scenery , and excellent location.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage. The photos truly don’t capture how beautiful and peaceful the decor, property, and grounds are. Everything is so thoughtfully set up—it’s clear a lot of care has gone into making it feel special. The kitchen is better stocked than most of ours at home! The view from the hot tub was a highlight, and we appreciated all the games and toys available for both kids and adults. One small but clever detail we really liked was the ability to close off the living room—such a great feature for keeping things quiet when others are sleeping. We’re already dreaming about coming back in the summer to enjoy the incredible beachfront!

We brought our parents for a family getaway in celebration of their 60th anniversary and we loved staying at Jill's cottage. It's very comfortable and relaxing with such beautiful scenery. Jill is a wonderful host and always there to answer any questions. We highly recommend this cottage. We'll definitely go back again.

Jane’s cabin was perfect for our family getaway! We enjoyed the view of the water and taking long dog walks in the bush. Sitting in front of the log fire with my coffee was my favourite thing. Jane was very responsive and helpful letting us check in early. We highly recommend Jane’s cabin. We had a fabulous stay.

The cottage was very nice. The grounds are flat and beautiful. Great location. Everything was perfect for my family of 6.
