Don’s beautiful VanHoevenberg Ridge has become our home base in the ADK, and a “home away from home” where we return several times a year to relax and enjoy the beauty of the mountains and lakes in all seasons. This is by far the best place we have stayed since we have been coming to the ADK for over 30 years. If you are lucky enough to stay here, you’ll be back! Don’s place has everything you’ll need, and is near to everywhere you’ll want to go. The views of the High Peaks are stellar, and the hot tub is relaxing after an active day outdoors. Don is a welcoming host who truly cares that his guests have the best experience, whether avid hikers or simply wanderers seeking serenity and renewal in the woods and waters near his home. He respects your privacy, but is happy to provide his knowledge of the area to find the best hike or paddle for you. This place is our North Star in the ADK: bright, constant, and a place we’ll always look to return to. We recommend it highly to everyone!

The place was perfect for our winter family vacation. The home was as described in a beautiful setting with a great view. If staying in the winter months having a vehicle with at least all wheel drive is helpful, as this is Vermont. The home is out of the way, but easy driving distance to ski and explore the nearby towns.

We had a wonderful stay. We’re a group of 4 mostly retired couples. Linda’s place was perfect for our needs. We used 4 bedrooms each with its own bathroom, comfortable communal space, a dining room that accommodated all of us, and a great kitchen with lots of counter space, utensils, serving dishes, etc. The main bedroom upstairs also had an adjoining suite perfect for families with young children. Linda’s instructions were clear and she was very responsive to all messages. Linda had towels for the hot tub which we loved using after a day of outdoor activity. We highly recommend Linda’s place and look forward to returning next year.

My family stayed for Easter/spring break to catch the last run at Whiteface and hike. Everything about our stay was great. The house was clean, comfortable and located minutes from everything we were looking to do. Judi was a great host from start to finish. We will definitely be booking with Adirondack vacations and Judi in the future.

A friend and I stayed at The Railhouse for 5 nights over the course is US Alpine Masters Nationals. The house is cute, cozy and clean. Rebecca has clearly taken great care to have everything her guests might need, and to make the place comfortable and fun for an extended stay in the area. Rebecca was friendly and very helpful and responsive; an amazing host. Location is amazing - 5 minutes from Gore, RIGHT in town, but private, walkable to the shops and a great coffee shop (shout out to Sarah’s). Look forward to staying again

Absolutely beautiful home! The decor was stunning, and every detail was thoughtfully designed. The space was super clean, cozy, and felt like a perfect retreat. Mary was great, and everything went smoothly. Would highly recommend.

Barbara was a wonderful host. The space was perfect for the four of us over the holiday break. Our kids especially enjoyed the game room and took advantage of the puzzles. Cozy home with great views and privacy.

Nice clean place to stay and excellent communication from the hosts. The property matches what's described. We were skiing all day and was a good spot to crash. It was bit further from Killington than we wanted, but that was clear up front!

A perfect spot for us and our small pooch. The only challenge was that I had to carry our small dog upstairs, because she couldn’t do the stairs. Wonderful,private location, and Barb dealt with an internet issue very promptly, but also respected our privacy.
