If you are looking for somewhere to pause, breathe & smile then the Noddle is for you. A real opportunity to switch off & enjoy Island life. An eco friendly home with all mod cons if you need them but this is a real opportunity to step away. There’s one shop on the Island of Hoy which opens in the morning & afternoon about 30 minutes across the Island so do bring most of what you need as there are two fridges & a freezer. There is also a regular ferry service for Island hopping so you can enjoy the best of both worlds.

Beautiful home and Rachael was a great host (hands off but very responsive-just what I like). The location cannot be beat. We had a car but chose to taxi most places. Even our taxi drivers were admiring the location. The hot tub was AMAZING. We got stuck on the island an extra day due to weather conditions impacting ferry crossings. Rachael was able to accommodate an extra nights stay. Although you feel very remote, there are 3 grocery stores within 10 minutes and you have easy access to all of Kirkwall. Favorite part was the neighbor sheep….waking up and looking out to see all the sheep while you get ready was so fun!

Clearly a brand new house. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Comfortable furniture and bed. Smart TV so we were able to access catch-up services. Close to Stromness (ie for shops and fuel etc). We had a great week and would happily return for our next trip to Orkney.

An amazing, beautiful stay at Blackhall! The house was better than expected and we felt right at home. The hot tub and games room is a great addition to the stay along with the beautiful views. It made working away from home very pleasant! Thank you Kathleen and Erik.

We had a great week staying at Graham's place. Graham was very helpful with clear instructions for the best route through Kirkwall and gaining entry was very easy via a key safe. The flat was very cosy and comfortable with a decent amount of kitchen space to prepare food. The location is perfect for looking around Kirkwall and driving around mainland Orkney to see the wonderful sights.

Trendy, modern flat with private parking. Karen is most affable, generous and flexible in accommodating our needs. Internet is quite fast. Smart televisions in the living room and master bedroom. Kitchen is equipped perfectly with everything you could possibly need for a week of cooking away from home. The master bedroom has two spacious wardrobes for storing clothes/suitcase. There's a utility room shared between the two flats. The stairs up to the flat are quite steep.

Bert’s apartment was excellent. It was even better in real life than on the pictures. We had two dogs and a toddler with us and were all very comfortable for the duration of our stay. Bert was an excellent host. Really friendly and accommodating. I’d definitely recommend a stay with him.

The accommodations were lovely. Although there were just 2 of us, the spacious home could easily accommodate families very comfortably. The living space was warm and inviting and the heated floors were a wonderful touch. I took a Relaxing bath in the large bathtub every night while listening the birds and sheep outside. The view out the kitchen was absolutely stunning. Laundry on site and easy parking in the Scottish countryside and very close to dining and shopping in Kirkwall, what was not to love? We thoroughly enjoyed exploring Orkney and would highly recommend staying here.

The accommodation was perfect for us. A short walk to centre of Kirkwall. The house was very comfortable and spacious and worked very well for three couples. It was one of the best resourced Airbnbs we have have stayed in. We wanted for nothing during our stay. Our host Simon was incredibly helpful ( especially as the couples we arrived at different times ) and his attention to detail was apparent in all aspects of our stay and helped make for a very memorable holiday . Highly recommended.

The cottage was very cozy and comfortable. Well equipped, had everything we needed and some nice touches over and above expectation. Would recommend Kilburn Cottage for a quiet, cozy, relaxing break from normal.

I can't recommend Greig's place enough!! Beautiful accommodation, warm, spacious, comfy and with everything you need for a great relaxing holiday. Greig was so kind and helpful whenever we saw him. He even brought one of the ponies to meet the kids. We will definitely book here again. It was perfect!

The house is ideally located in the village . Beautiful little village close to the harbour. A very friendly community. The house is beautiful..Well equipped with all you need and plenty of games. As this was our first visit to Orkney, a great location with convenient shopping and transport. Very comfortable and stunning views from the upstairs sitting room. And no need to carry a suitcase up the stairs to the bedrooms! Well-equipped kitchen and plenty of tableware. Perfect for a relaxing break.
