Loved the location close to the water (close enough to hear the waves with the windows open) and the style of the house was fun. We would have preferred some more comfortable places to sit but the house had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay in Wellington.

My husband and I stayed at Steph's beautiful home with our daughter and grandchildren and enjoyed a lovely, homely stay. The weather was kind and the home is situated in a very quiet enclave that is very sheltered. Upstairs there is a lovely view of Lowry Bay from the main bedroom balcony. So close to local amenities with beautiful Days Bay a short drive away for a nice swim and eats in the quaint cafe overlooking the bay. Charming 20 min ferry ride to central Wellington for a shop and look around. Highly recommend this spot with the seclusion of a secret garden and the convenience of a great location.

We had such a great stay in Wellington! We are so glad we stayed here and not in the inner city. Beautiful view, quiet, and so comfortable! Peter was so kind and helpful. Even gave us some good recommendations for our stay. He was very responsive too. I left my pillow case (I love my bamboo pillow case lol) when we left for the South Island and Peter was willing to ship it back to the states for us which we appreciated! Thank y’all so much :)

A beautiful house in a lovely location with views over the hills and trees. Such uplifting scenery to wake up to. The house is on the outskirts of Wellington in Thorndon which has its own great bars shops and restaurants. Easy walking distance to central Wellington. Close to the stunning Botanical gardens and the cable car. Fantastically equipped house with special treats like ground coffee, milk and a bottle of wine. We had a very happy and memorable stay here.

This was a beautiful, clean, and well-equipped home tucked away in a quiet little community, set back from the road. It had everything our family of four needed, including convenient parking and easy access to the motorway. The kids especially enjoyed the games room setup in the garage. David and Sam were a pleasure to communicate with - warm, helpful, and generous with tips and recommendations as we explored Wellington. We are truly grateful for a pleasant and comfortable stay in Upper Hutt.

Sally provided a place that exceeded our expectations. we had an absolutely wonderful time and can't fault her. As a Wellington resident for 14 years who booked it for his parents while they were travelling I can't recommend this enough. I have the loveliest stay here. The place was perfect, it was such a bonus being just across the road from the marine reserve. I went for multiple snorkels (seeing nudibranchs, brittlestars and wandering anemone) and it was wonderful to be able to pop back across the road into a (great quality) hot shower immediately after. It was very easy to get into the city from here too, both by car and public transport. Linda incredibly helpful and friendly and I can’t thank her enough. Will definitely be checking the availability of this property next time I’m in Wellington!

I highly recommend Sally's place, the Griffin Inn, to anyone wishing to stay in tranquil surroundings in the Porirua area. It's on the north side of beautiful Tītahi Bay, with an amazing clifftop walk just up the hill for you and / or your dogs. It's a short walk to the beach itself. Sally place is a separate small house set beside the family home, and despite the name is not an inn as such but rather a dedication to her mum and the family name. It is immaculate, cozy, well presented, tucked away in a sheltered little oasis and has a nice covered outside area for relaxing. Sally is a wonderful, friendly and open-hearted host and she made us feel very welcome indeed (myself and my dogs). If Sally is not onsite her daughter Kim will look after you to the same standard, and her son Dave might even look after your dogs if you need (he runs a doggy daycare business). Highly recommended for singles, couples, small families and people with pooches. Would stay again for sure.

Craig and Kylie were excellent hosts, and their home was a wonderful place for our family of four to enjoy for a couple weeks. The location was peaceful yet everything we needed was within walking distance (grocery, cafes, library, park, beach, shops, and more). The beds and lounge areas were very comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. Our favorite part about the house was the giant sliding glass wall that opens up completely to the backyard!

My husband and I needed a date night getaway and this was perfect for our over night stay! The bed/bedding was super comfortable and the room had everything we needed and had a big window which really opened up the space and created good air flow. The TV is a prefect addition aswell with Netflix too! The bathroom was very nice, beautifully modern with a bit of character. And also the view right outside the bathroom was stunning at night showing Wellington city from atop of a hill, the twinkling lights were beautiful to see! 10/10 recommend The Cherry Tree batch!

we requested to stay at Marie's home at last minute.. having a previous request declined due to lack of notice . Marie responded very quickly wich we were most great full for. so thank you so much for taking us in at last minute 🙏 The home .. its a beautiful cosey little cottage nestled below a hill with amazing bird life .. across the road a beautiful rocky beach wich we swam in daily .. the home had all we needed . we did not want to leave this little piece of paradise . 3 days was not long enough . the fish in ship over the hill had the best fish n chips . the neighbors are so friendly. highly recommend Marie's little cottage .

Fiona's place was perfect for the one night we were there. Everything was new and the stocked kitchen was really really handy! As said in other reviews, the noise from the road is really loud, so if you are a light sleeper. . . . definitely bring earplugs and maybe also have some white noise sounds or an app to play like we did. She did have a fan in the room which helped to drown out the traffic sounds, but you are right next to a motorway so it can be quite loud. Other than that it was a really nice little self contained unit.

We had a wonderful refreshing stay at Danielle's home. Everything was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Every room had large picture frame windows looking out onto the most amazing immediate view of community enjoying the beach in all manner of ways. We loved staying at Danielle's home it was a real highlight.

A modern living area is highlighted by high ceilings and ample natural light from a large window with views of the outdoors. Comfortable seating is arranged, including two blue chairs and a sofa. A pet rests peacefully on the soft carpet, enhancing the space's inviting feel.

Lovely renovated, clean home, beautifully furnished, lots of space (including outside) and fantastic location. Host was very responsive, and accommodating. We recently arrived to New Zealand and this was a perfect base to explore Wellington and surrounding areas from. Would recommend to anyone needing a spacious home with easy access to the region.

Liem and Selena are great hosts - very responsive, friendly, and always available if you need anything. The place is spacious, cozy and comfortable, with everything necessary, you instantly feel like home. There’s also an amazing, quiet garden, perfect for enjoying breakfast! And if it’s rainy there’s a nice sunroom to enjoy the garden view! I genuinely enjoyed staying there and would definitely recommend it:)
