Each Thanksgiving, for the past four years, I have rented a house where four families can gather to celebrate together. May’s Round House was one of the best! Great open floor plan, for cooking and conversation. Plenty of places to sneak off for reading /napping. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, for 10 of us! Setting, serene, isolated with views.. I highly recommend it! Johanna, Benicia, Ca.

Nice home in a beautiful setting. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well-equipped and plenty of space overall. Driveway is a bit intimidating, but location is convenient to both Grass Valley and Nevada City. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. Thank you for hosting us.

The house and grounds are beautiful, private and welcoming. We have stayed in many AirBnBs over the years but none more inviting. The autumn leaves were on fire and the smell of pine forests and wood fires was a reason to linger. You will not want to leave this treasure. It is an amazing find. We stayed for Thanksgiving week and enjoyed the sites and beauty of Nevada City. But the real find is the house and its sanctuary. We will return.

My husband and I spent a few cozy days at The View House. The location is quiet and the house has great amenities. It's just a short drive to Nevada City and Grass Valley, both of which have good restaurants and unique shops. Kyle was a great host, provided a lot of information and local recommendations, and was always quick to communicate.

Nevada City Stylish Cabin in the woods

We had a very relaxing stay. The neighborhood is quiet and the cabin was a good base camp for our day hiking adventures. We even found expansive views and hiking out the back door as the location of the cabin is near the end of the housing development. The wifi was fast and reliable for zoom meetings. On colder days it was great to sit in front of the big wood stove and enjoy a fire. Paul provided quick and supportive responses to all of our inquiries.

Trish was extremely responsive, helpful and friendly. The house has all new, state of the art everything and is very clean. Wonderful kitechen full of pots/pans/cooking utensils. Comfy, coazy beds with great linens and pillows. Nice quality towels too. Nice yard and porch for relaxing. Restaurants and shops a very short walk away. A great place to stay and we will return.

We really enjoyed our visit to the Aware House near Ananda, hosted by Michelle. Michelle was extremely easy to contact and communicate with. The directions were really clear and useful, particularly in the dark on a hilly road! We would definitely like to stay here again. The beauty of the area is not to be underestimated. Mother Trucker's has everything you might need for meals and there are more things to do than time!

The stay exceeded expectations and was even better in person. The cabin was cozy and warm, with the fireplace as the only source of heat, but don’t let that worry you—it worked incredibly well. The hot tub on the deck was a perfect touch, making the experience even more indulgent. Janet was very responsive and helpful, and the location couldn’t have been better.

Auberon’s home is a beautiful place to stay, amid the trees in a peaceful and private setting. Stylish decor, fun art, plants galore, and a well stocked kitchen. Great for our party of 8. We rented Maricela’s place for the overflow of family at Thanksgiving. It’s in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood with lots of space and a fabulous porch! Everyone was comfortable and had a great time. We would rent again and we highly recommend this wonderful home!

Private House on 2 Acres—welcome to Casa de Burton

We stayed here as a home base during a big family Thanksgiving reunion and it was the perfect place to land between family events. It was close enough to the main stretch of Grass Valley that it was easy to get to and from different events but secluded enough to feel private and restful. The check in process was extremely easy and Chelsea and Addie were very proactive about sending instructions for checking in and finding the house. We didn't get a chance to use the hot tub but I was very pleased that they noted it gets serviced between each round of guests. The kitchen was very cute and functional to the point where we wished we were around to cook more. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely book again.
