What a fabulous place and what a host! We left the city seeking rejuvenation and that's exactly what we got. A little gem on the corner of the Loch....food to die for......a host with brilliant knowledge and warmth and an interior designers dream.....We will be back!

Great location and wonderful hosts Well appointed room

We had a great time at Highland Peace going into the last day of walking the West Highland Way! He was a great host, giving us local recommendations and great friendly conversation. The room was comfortable and the location was easy to find. The highlight of the stay, however, was definitely the breakfast John cooked in the morning!!

You can’t put a price on meeting a host like Karen. Her interesting life experiences, her current working in the arts and her social life, her kindness and her wonderful home made breakfasts made our 5-night stay wonderful. She gave us lots of recommendations for places to visit. Our room had the most amazing view. (You need to stay more than one or two nights for this room). The house is full of art works from her many years of design but also others’ art too. She was kind enough to show us her studio. As the week went on we felt like we had made a friend rather than just a live in landlady. (She is not at all intrusive - very sensitive and allowed us our privacy). We shall miss her but plan to return again soon, hoping for better weather to visit the islands (ferries are close by - excellent location). As we left, potholes in the driveway were being filled in. Great quiet place tucked away off the road, very easy to find. Ian makes a great homemade hot breakfast to start your day! Lovely sitting room that we spent a couple nights in meeting and getting to know other guests. Close to the ferry terminal as well which was helpful for our early morning out. Thank you!

I had a great time at Laura's place even if it was only one night. The place is amazing and the warm welcome from Laura were just perfect. I would definitely want to come again to stay longer.

Had a beautiful stay in Erin and B’s Airbnb. A calm and inspiring retreat to come back to after spending the day with everything that Glasgow has to offer.

Alex's place was a fantastic base for our Glasgow city break. Alex and Fiona were so welcoming, friendly and helpful with lots of useful recommendations, which really helped us to make the most of the short time we had to explore the city. It was so nice to have afternoon tea when we arrived and such a wonderful breakfast each morning with freshly made bread, eggs, ham, cheese, fruit, cereals etc - what a treat! Our children (aged 11 and 13) also felt right at home and enjoyed playing some of the games that were provided. The beds were extremely comfortable and all the little extras were much appreciated (slippers, robes, tea and coffee making facilities). The house is just a couple of minutes' walk from the station and so there is easy access to the city centre if you don't have a car. Alex and Fiona really do go 'above and beyond' but in a relaxed way, which made us feel at home and we would love to stay again when we return to Glasgow.

We had a truly wonderful stay with Laura at her B&B! The B&B itself is cosy and the room was comfortable and has everything you need. And Laura is an amazing host! We really appreciated her tips for a day activity. Breakfast was also great. In short, an amazing place to stay. We highly recommend it!

We had a fabulous 2 night stay at Crinan Ferry. Stephanie and Adrian were very welcoming and their b&b was warm, cozy, and peaceful. The breakfasts were excellent, with a varied choice. We had the 3 course meal with local and seasonal ingredients - lovely. Nothing was too much bother for them, and their love for the area is clear to see! We would definitely come back in the future! Whether you’re headed to the area or just looking for a peaceful get away in the west islands… this is THE spot. Situated in the midst of beautiful surroundings, the accommodation itself is fantastic with brilliant cooking and hosting by Zuzanna and Elfick. Very flexible and had great local suggestions. The facilities are brilliant and they make a real effort to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Worth the money. Go for it. We plan on returning.

Our stay with Jen and Mike was lovely. They are excellent hosts and seem to have thought of everything needed to make one's stay comfortable and relaxed. Delicious breakfasts brought to your door, an excellent shower, lovely view and window seat to enjoy it from, local maps, guides and books and very helpful recommendations. I would have no hesitation in recommending High Oatfield to anyone travelling to Mull. Thank you both.

Archie's place is great! Perfect for a family traveling together like us. Also he is extremely friendly and gave us nice recommendations on what to do. The place was perfectly clean, warm and comfortable. Recommend for anyone traveling to the area!

In over a decade of using AirBnB I don't know if I've ever before stayed at place that was incredible in every category: design, cleanliness, breakfast, atmosphere, etc. Ben A'an is phenomenal on every point. AirBnB guests are familiar with the typical gap between the photographic representation of a place on this site and the reality when you get there. Sometimes it's a large gap, sometimes it's small, but there's always a discrepancy to some degree. Ben A'an is the inverse: somehow, the actual place is even better than the photos. Everything is so thoughtfully appointed at every level that I kept finding new details to admire. This carefulness extends even to the breakfast menu and Callun's service. The fact that the place looks like it was remodelled last week is an index of how well Callum and Lyndsey keep it up and care for their guests. Guests don't have to balance strengths and weaknesses; there are no tradeoffs at Ben A'an. I recommend Ben A'an House without qualification.

We absolutely adored our stay, there are so many places to stay in Fort William, but we could not recommend Colin’s place highly enough. Beautiful room with incredible views, clean and the breakfast within the room went above and beyond our expectations. Good parking and all round a really wonderful experience

I had a wonderful stay at Sarah and Yorick's home that has been built with much thought and love. They have done a great job at carving out a safe space, which is further amplified by the vast nature and stillness at the doorstep. Meals using vegetables from the garden with other guests facilitated eclectic discussions and I learned a lot. A great wee get-away.

Very welcoming atmosphere & superfriendly hosts. Everything is very clean and the beds are cosy. Even it's not an b&b there are lots of possibilities to have a good breakfast there!

Amazing well maintained place with a serene view from the room as well as the portico! Colin is very helpful and friendly, we stayed late at night outside on the chairs, he was very friendly to accommodate the late timings; lucky enough to see slight northern lights. Definitely coming back here

We came in by boat and the accomodation was perfect for our requirements. The packed breakfast was perfect and delicious. A very thoughtful addition to our stay. We will be back.
