Our stay at Nilantha and his mother Kusum's AirBnB in Kandy was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we arrived, Kusum warmly welcomed us with her incredible hospitality, making us feel right at home. The accommodation was spotless, charming, and perfectly located near key attractions, allowing us to easily explore the beautiful surroundings of Kandy. Kusum went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, providing us with valuable local tips and delicious homemade meals that showcased authentic Sri Lankan flavors. The tranquil garden setting was a personal highlight, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of adventures. Communication was seamless, especially since Nilantha was abroad; Kusum managed everything effortlessly. We truly appreciated the personal touches that made our stay memorable. Overall, we couldn't recommend this place more highly. If you're looking for a genuine Sri Lankan experience with warm and caring hosts, look no further. This is the place to be.

The view from this house is priceless. We could have spent hours starring at the view. If we walk a short distance downhill, we can see the Gregory Lake. There are grocery shop at the beginning of the road. Nonetheless, this place was very peaceful as well as beautiful. We had a great stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Location is really good, you ll have a great view of the valley and surrounding mountains. Breathtaking views. House is really nice and clean. Staff members are really friendly. They communicate well and they can cook 👨‍🍳 well. If you want to use the pool please let them know early, pool is having fresh water from mountains. If you have a driver, he/she can have their own drivers unit at the back of the house. Rooms are really good and all the rooms have attached bathrooms. This place is good for 8 people. We will be back again ☺️🤩🎉

Charini’s place is lovely, she was very accommodating to our needs and there is a caretaker available 24/7. Views are spectacular and not too far from town. Living room is comfy but it is cold in this area at night so opt for the additional heaters!

My expectations were exceeded by far! Kind and caring but still unobtrusive host!!! The house is beautiful, very clean and everything you need is there. Mohomed arranged a wonderful trip to the mountains and the teagardens and guided me throughout with his knowledge. He even provided a picnic and afterwards I was served a lunch at the house! Every possible wish I had was fulfilled, he accompanied me when I asked to buy some things and showed me the best shops. When I was sick, he arranged me visiting a doctor and took care. I was offered tea and snacks everyday and could get a lunch or dinner whenever I wished. And all this for a more than reasonable price! Thank you very much!!! I had a wonderful time.

Very nice view on the lake and a quite location. The space would normally be big enough for a whole family, but it was great to have a living room. The hosts are very friendly.

This villa is perfect for a group that wants to hang out together and eat local food cooked by the wonderful Chef Jacob. The housekeeper Roman will also help you sort out laundry via a pick up and drop off service and were friendly and lovely people. Happy to stay in a place that supports small local businesses rather than big hotels

Absoutely loved the house, the location was perfect. 2 minute walk to Lake Gregory with great activities to do. Chandrakumar the housekeeper was super helpful and even had dinner prepared after our long journey on check in day. Would highly recommend.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this villa! The view was absolutely breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The staff were amazing—always attentive, friendly, and responsive to all our requests, including accommodating the needs of our toddler, which we greatly appreciated. A standout feature of our stay was the amazing cocktails! They were expertly crafted and added a special touch to our evenings as we enjoyed the stunning scenery. Additionally, the staff guided us to a beautiful local waterfall, where we had a fantastic time exploring and enjoying nature. It was a memorable highlight of our trip. The only area for improvement is the food. While it was decent, we’d love to see more fresh vegetables included in the menu to enhance the dining experience. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and we’d definitely recommend this villa for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat with top-notch hospitality, and opportunities to explore local beauty

Great place to stay, great views, quiet setting, house is huge and bedrooms even bigger. Food prepared by Raja, Darshan and Rani was such a luxury and very good. I highly recommend Soshana’s home, our family of 13 all really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Soshana.

This property is undoubtedly the best place we have stayed in and will likely stay in for a long time. From being guided in using live location to being welcomed warmly by Sanudi and her husband, everything was perfect. The food was varied, delicious and catered for any specific requests. Beautifully presented and tasted amazing. We enquired about climbing the rock behind the house and because it isn’t a well trodden path, they organised a local guy to take us up, good job as there are some tricky parts to the climb. The bedrooms are stunning and balconies perfect for sitting to watch sunrise or just appreciate the stunning surroundings. The pool is perfect for a dip to cool down from the heat of the day. And the terrace was another lovely space to soak in the surroundings. You are truly made to feel like this house is your home and we will forever be grateful for a wonderful stay. Cannot recommend this place and people enough.

The most beautiful experience at this villa. Incredible views from the terrace and pool. Justin (the chef) and Nessan (the housekeeper) were incredibly attentive and couldn’t have done more for us. They were aware we were staying over the new year holiday when shops would be shut so had stocked up on alcohol and supplies! Perfect for a big group. Very remote location (45 minutes from Kandy centre) but they have a tuk tuk to take you to the closest town (5 minutes away) for any necessities. All of our meals were cooked by the chef-very reasonable and so delicious! Highly recommend this villa.

A really beautiful villa with a stunning view. We stayed two families (4 adults and 4 kids ages 2-6) for 4 nights. The staff was really friendly, attentive and took great care of us, and the hostess was very kind, proactive and responsive. The villa is great for some days of total relaxation!

Sandalwood is a beautiful villa with a stunning view. The house and the interiors are modern and tasteful. The infinity pool overlooking the river and the mountains is superb. The staff is very gentle and proactive. Leslie prepare fresh breakfast and cook excellent dinner. Kumara is taking care about the house as if it was her property and perform perfect laundry service. Very interesting the Victoria golf club’s history and how this beautiful project run by big Sri Lankan’s company help the local community.

Amazing location on the top of a mountain. Best food we had during our ten day’s in Sri Lanka. The weather was not at all humid due to the altitude. Piyal and his staff were very friendly and helpful. We’re going back!
