Cottage vacation rentals in Nova Scotia

We absolutely loved the closed in deck where we sat and watched the sunset and birds playing in the tides. Great that the washer and dryer was there and worked wonderfully. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and even wine glasses!

Great place to stay with the whole family. Jen is always responsive and very helpful when I had a problem with my car. She is the one find the garage for my car and very helpful in everything. Her place is beautiful, walking distance to the ⛱️ beach. 5 stars is not enough to rate her. I would recommend this place. Thanks Jen.

Cute place in view of the bridge ! Peaceful and so quiet . I would definitely come back again ! So close to beach stairs made it easy for several trips a day ! My first trip to PEI and I picked a jewel. Colleen was an excellent host and truly one of my best Airbnb stays.

The place was fantastic, a perfect venue for 4 friends to go on a short golf trip. Super well appointed place, a lot of nice touches such as labels on light switches (most places don't do that and you need to switch em all to see what they do!). Also, the beds were very comfortable, the night sky was amazing, it was very quiet and peaceful as well. We will certainly book again in the future!

We Had a family reunion “staycation”!! This Was a perfect spot. Open space for the play pen and baby toys! Beautiful view & yard. We brought our own groceries and stayed in. The kitchen was very workable and had all the kitchen tools we could have needed. The wood stove was such a relaxing mood setter. The outdoor hot tub was lovely! (2 ppl) The deck was perfect for enjoying the outdoors with babies! Host had loads of little fine touches. Washer & dryer worked great! Parking was good, right next to the door and no stairs needed. Felt right at home and very comfortable! This is a perfect location of longer stays!

Wendy and Ron were great hosts and very easy to communicate with. Their relationship place was very clean and quiet with a short walk to the beach.

Amanda's home was as described very clean and easily accessible down a country gravel road into a quiet cottage subdivision. Lovely 4 min walk to the steps to the beach! A nice location for a family to enjoy!

A perfect little spot for a girls' getaway. Matthew came down to meet us (because I totally forgot about check in details) and gave us a quick rundown of everything. The hot tub was great, and we could see seals and eagles out on the ice. Very quiet and private, very clean and modern. Everything we needed was there, and when we had a delicious meal at the Groundswell just next door, Matthew was kind enough to send us away with cream and coffee that we forgot to bring. Definitely would recommend this place!

This is a great find in Alma! It would be an excellent place to relax after spending the day at Fundy National Park or all in all a great place to go and getaway! The cabin is very private and you’ll have more than you’ll ever need right there. The hot tub is amazing especially in the evening watching the sun set behind the hills in the distance. We had an awesome time at this Airbnb and I think you will too! Thanks.

Awesome and cozy cabin with everything you can think of provided, game systems and robes for the hot tub included. Very clean and taken care of. The covered hot tub area was the reason for booking and it did not disappoint, beyond expectations. Hosts were easy to communicate with and provided all information needed without having to reach out. Will love to stay again !

The Lake House was a wonderful place for our group (and dogs) to spend time together and celebrate New Years. There was lots of room for our group to relax, enjoy meals and play games. The hot tub was nice to have, and there was ample parking. Jolena was very responsive before and during our stay - thank you for a wonderful stay!

Relaxing winter getaway with the family and pups. The inside was warm and welcoming the beds comfortable. we loved the extras of this place, the pizza oven, hotub, projector and outside lounge/hangout areas for fires or just the hammock seats on the deck. Sara was responsive and kind. Would come back!

We had an amazing experience. Host was very attentive to us. Location was better than even the pictures. We will be back. Perfect getaway no matter what time of the year.

Awesome place to stay! It was our second time staying at Devin’s place and we looked forward to staying there all winter. The hot tub and sauna are amazing and very close to the cottage. We will be back next year! We highly recommend booking this spot!

This was my first experience with an air BnB, and it will not be my last! Especially with Liane. Aside from her being extremely kind, clear and direct- she was very prompt with replying. The cottage was absolutely beautiful. The attentiveness to detail was extremely apparent. The directions also for finding our way around outside to hot tub etc were very clear around the property. I cannot say enough good things about this place! We are planning a trip back already and we haven’t unpacked. For my daughter’s 7th birthday, Liane went above and beyond with accommodating us to make it a special memory. The bed is extremely comfortable, also. I cannot wait to recommend this to my coworkers and friends more than I have already! If I could give ten stars I would!!!! Thank you so much!!! Absolutely perfect spot for a winter getaway! The coziest cottage with stunning views to enjoy while we relaxed for the weekend. Everything was perfect and Corinna’s attention to detail and sweet little add ons made it so. She was super helpful and responsive with anything we needed. Look forward to coming back to experience this place in a different season!

Our stay here was absolutely perfect. The place was clean, lovely decorated and in a perfect location. The cottage is walking distance to town and to a lovely walking trail that we took full advantage of during our stay. We were able to drive to many attractions (i.e. Lunenburg, Peggie’s Cove, and Halifax Harbour-front) in under an hour. The town of Chester has everything you need for a wonderful week away. The best part of our stay was Lizzie our host. She was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed including dropping off extra lifejackets. Our week stay was everything we expected and more.

We cannot say enough good things about our stay. It was the perfect place for our family as the couple with two small ones stayed on the lower level where we wouldn’t disturb them sleeping, the grandparents stayed over garage and couple with a teenager stayed on main level and that is where we cooked/ate meals. Beautiful kitchens that were both fully equipped. We had 9 of us total and were very comfortable. The laundry was so nice to have and loved the view off the upper balcony. We grilled most nights which kept cleanup to minimum. Allison provides a lot of extras in garage like toys for playing in sand, camp chairs, etc. Cavendish beach is lovely and short drive or to just explore/look for shells/walk Rustico Beach is short walk. Would not recommend swimming at this beach but nice to walk. The boardwalk is beautiful and short walk into town. We can’t say enough good things about our stay! Allison was so responsive and a superb host. For a large family Orkney place is perfect!

We stayed in Cottage #2 which was a spacious two bedroom. Cottage was equipped with all the necessities. My husband loved the large tv screen to watch hockey...yes I said hockey in August...lol...thanks COVID. I however can’t say enough about the view from the patio as you sip on morning coffee and wine in the evening...SPECTACULAR! Wayne was great to deal with and answered each communication within moments. Was a pleasure to deal with.

Rented all 5 cabins for a family vacation. This was the perfect place. David was absolutely amazing. There is nothing we would change. Definitely a piece of heaven, wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Beautiful location. 2 min walk to Thunder Cove and this is a spectacular beach. The house is comfortable. No AC, but very clean and perfect for a large group. Kennsington PEI has a full service grocery store, this is about 10 min away. PEI is a beautiful and this house is in a perfect location. Host was great. We had all we needed and great communication.

Great location on a very clean and peaceful lake. Swimming , kayaks and paddleboards are available right off the private dock. My son and I enjoyed paddling around the lake with islands, walking trails and a natural area with diving board to explore. The house is on a peninsula so while it’s very private , you also get pretty views on 3 sides. The house is stocked with everything you need for meals, movie watching , games (indoor & outdoor) as wells as a fire pit area. Very rustic feel but everything clean and air conditioned so we were comfortable when we did spend time in the house. Lastly , we were able to get to the Halifax waterfront for a very enjoyable meal in only 35 mins. Closer options in Sackville & Dartmouth as well. We also appreciated having a large Sobey’s grocery store only 10 min drive away.

Lisa’s place was exactly as pictured. The cottages accommodated our large family perfectly. We enjoyed how close the cottages were especially with little kids. Beds were comfy , the fire pit allowed a beautiful view of the lake as did the large windows. Check in was easy.
