This property was everything we could have hoped for and more! The house was beautiful and comfortable. The fenced in backyard space was great. Easily walkable to the town and the beach! We will definitely be back!

Beach Front Home 5 Bedrooms 9 beds 2 kings 3 baths

Paul, was an exceptionally responsive and patient host. When the water utility provided a warning of a potential disruption due to a water main break., Paul promptly notified us. The house was great, the photos accurately capture its' classic elegance. The kitchen is better equipped than almost any home. It is a real "cooks kitchen", replete with all the gadgets you can think of!!! The toys in the garage are wonderful. We really appreciated having bikes and kayaks to use whenever we wanted. What is not seen in the photos is the efficient and effective A/C which cools the house very quickly, and the hot water on demand system provided quick hot water which we really appreciated. Finally, the location across from the beach with a panoramic view of the bay can't be beat!! We enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the front porch and the master bedroom. Downtown is a short walk away. There is no better house to stay at in Cape Charles

your own private beach adjacent to nature preserve

We rented this beautiful home for 3 weeks and had numerous visits by kids, grandkids, and other relatives during the time. JB was very responsive and helpful, including all the documentation at the house. Weather was perfect(well, two hurricanes passed far to the west and east) with little rain and small effects to the tides/seas. House and sun-room are great for in-climate weather!!The kayak was a huge hit with the younger visitors especially when the bay was "like glass". Restaurant recommendations were spot on with Hook@Harvey being at the top. Thanks JB/Jing for letting us use your fabulous residence for our reunions!!

Private Country Beach Retreat

We booked the Mason Jar to celebrate our anniversary. It was hands down the most peaceful place we've ever stayed. In the mornings, we'd open the balcony doors, drink coffee, and listen to the waves and the many birds. The house was in perfect condition and extremely clean, well decorated, and thoughtfully arranged. The hosts pay attention to the smallest details, with thoughtful touches all around. There were throw blankets for extra coziness (plus additional sheets, blankets, and towels if needed). The bed and furniture were very comfortable. We utilized the very nice grill and the kitchen to make a meal or two. Every kitchen item needed was present. Just add groceries from Food Lion and you're set. We really enjoyed Coastal Baking Company, Mason Street Bakery, Shantys and AJ's. Takeout lasagna from Froggys was delicious. The private beach was amazing, and the ample outdoor spaces are luxurious. Having a washer and dryer was also a huge plus. Can't recommend enough!
A spacious upper deck showcases white lounge chairs and a small side table, set against a backdrop of blue and yellow siding. The area is framed by a white railing, and greenery can be seen in the distance, enhancing the serene outdoor space.

Sage by the Sea - Golf Cart Included!

JohnRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Joel and Brittney’s place is fantastic! The location is perfect for walking to the beach, the Central Park/green and local restaurants and is nestled on one of the most peaceful streets in Cape Charles. The house is beautiful and well maintained with comfortable furnishings and perfect spaces. In particular we loved the kitchen, which is a delight for any cook with Thermador appliances, a stainless prep counter and a butcher block island. The screened porch was also a favorite, and we ate our breakfast there every day at the table which seats 6. The family room is cozy and the bedrooms are warm and inviting with comfortable beds. Having a golf cart included was a super convenience as well. The backyard was a perfectly lovely place to sit with a drink. And, the neighbors are great people. We love Cape Charles! It is our happy place. And, Joel and Brittney’s house is by far our favorite place. We are looking forward to staying again!
A spacious home is nestled among tall trees, featuring a wraparound deck and multiple steps leading to the entrance. A kayak rests on the forest floor, hinting at water activities nearby. The twilight sky casts a soft glow over the serene surroundings.

Creeklife - 3 bedroom home suitable for 6 guests.

We had a fantastic weekend at this beautifully located & private spot. Jean was very respectful of our time. She greeted us when we arrived & was lovely enough to leave a gift for my wife. We were celebrating her 50th. Didn’t have time to kayak or paddle board (both provided) but were able to do some fishing off the pier. Even caught a fish! Be aware, some of the pier will be underwater @ high tide. Not a problem for flip-flops in the warm water. Nice fire pit area that we used one night. Plenty of wood provided. We had a spectacular view to stargaze at night. Only a five minute drive to the winery. And only 20 minutes to Cape Charles, which we highly recommend you visit. Beautiful town with great restaurants and beach. Be aware of, and Jean did let us know, it is a well water home. Bring plenty of bottled water. The two canine visitors were an unexpected and pleasant surprise. We will definitely be coming back again, and hopefully for a much longer stay!!
