Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Northampton County

Sarah knows hospitality. The home was larger than I thought so there was plenty of space to check out. Things done exceptionally well: clean white towels (always a winner yet many hosts don't know this); Black makeup towels so you don't ruin the nice white towels - that was clutch; clean white bed sheets; little bathroom amenities in case you need something; CLEAN screened in porch deck (no cobwebs); uncluttered kitchen with everything we needed to make our Thanksgiving feast; large, seemingly commercial refrigerator that both my friend and I want for our own kitchens now; and lots of broadband fast wifi. Even the laundry room was neat and tidy, and with a 3rd toilet just in case... my doggy loved lounging (I bring her bed wherever we go, never allow her on human furniture) and she was comfortable in every room that held her bed.. She felt right at home which was nice. We're coming back when it's warm so we can put some floats out in the water. Great peaceful, and restful location!!!

Laura's beautifully decorated guest house was amazing! Even though we were next door to the family, the guest house was completely private. The amenities were impeccable and Laura had added so many thoughtful touches. We had access to an outside patio which had furniture, grill, fire table and a wood fireplace -- completely to ourselves. We spend many hours fishing at their beautiful boathouse and caught some pretty good-sized catfish and bream. We needed some time to relax from our busy schedules and our weekend at Lake Gaston was perfect. We have stayed in quite a few AirBNB's over the years and this was probably the nicest one of all. I would not hesitate to return there in the future!

Our group really enjoyed staying there. Plenty of space for 8 adults. The views of the lake are beautiful and the house looks just like the photos. Very communicative hosts and they even let us check in a little early. Would recommend staying here, and We hope to be back !

One thing that I find lacking in almost every rental; that is the quality of the bed and mattress. Having a good mattress means a good night’s sleep to us. I hope every Airbnb improves in this need, firm mattresses. 😊

Great place - would definitely stay here again. No complaints. The property and host were both top notch. This is a wonderful airbnb find for sure. Regarding lake access, just keep in mind it's somewhat limited. They have a jet ski lift (we did not use), but unless you have a small boat, like maybe a bass boat, you really can't plan to dock anything at the property. Or at least you should inquire as to the exact dimensions of the space and the depth, to be sure your boat will get in. We didn't have a problem since we only had a boat rented for a few hours, but I'm not sure if overnight boat docking needs would be met. The water is super shallow at the dock, so swimming is also limited unless you head out a ways.

A beautiful cozy place to send time with family and view wildlife. Very secluded so I recommended mobile hotspot. Loved the home and area.

Ruth’s historic home was a wonderful place to stay, it was perfect for my friends and I for our weekend away at our dog show with a nice quiet community. The history of the house was really interesting, Ruth was great with communication and had the house nicely stocked for us!

We enjoyed our stay. We came to Roanoke Rapids to visit family and friends and chose to stay here. The house was exactly as described and easy to get to. It had a nice warm and cozy feel to it. We didn’t use a lot of the stuff, because we were gone a lot, but it was there for us if we needed it.
