An incredible gem tucked away in the private woods. We enjoyed a hot tub soak overlooking a fantastic sunset on the frozen lake. Loved our time here and will return!

Spent 4 nights at the cottage with a family of 5. Harsh was very responsive to all communication prior/during/post stay. The cottage was well located for those seeking peace and quiet. Hot tub worked well. The cottage was well supplied, we did not lack anything. A nice surprise bottle of wine was offered and appreciated. Internet connection was fast, electric and wood fireplaces add a nice ambiance and warmth to the cottage. Overall, great stay for a family of 5, would fit 6 maximum. Highly recommend for those travelling to the area for some R&R and/or small family getaway in nature.

We had an absolutely wonderful winter getaway at this cozy cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm, inviting space that felt like a true home away from home.

We stayed two nights with another couple. It was wintery and cold, so made good use of the hot tub, gas fireplace, the big screen, the gorgeous large round coffee table for games, and the kitchen for cooking. It's a beautiful property. Only thing to note is the second bedroom is very, very tight for space and no bedside lighting; queen bed (very comfy!) leaves less than a foot of space between bed and walls, and there is also the pitched ceiling and metal bedframe. Getting in and out had to be done carefully. Main bedroom with en suite bath is gorgeous! Would definitely stay again.

Lovely house. Our big group with kids really liked the layout. Plenty of room for many of us to hang on the same floor yet still feel peaceful and quiet. The views are beautiful. The hosts are accommodating.

Was unbelievable place and relaxing time with family

We had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it! The only small downside was the 10 AM check-out time, which felt a bit tight. Other than that, everything was perfect, and we hope to visit again soon!

Greg’s place is a perfect cottage: homey enough to feel comfortable yet special enough to feel like a treat. The view out the huge window is a lovely mix of sloped pathway/stairs, trees, lake, island in lake and more lake in the distance. The main room has the most comfortable couch and the 500 movies include something for everyone. We especially loved the wood-fired sauna down by the lake. I hope to stay here again!

Barry kindly hosted our family of 5 and dog over the Christmas holidays. We had a nice 4-night stay at his humble abode. The fenced outdoor park area was an appreciated feature for our dog, and the interior of the home was immaculate and cozy. Everything was exceptional. Thank you for having us, Barry! We hope to return one day in the future.

We had a lovely winter getaway at Julie & Roger's. The home is very homey with a nice kitchen, wood fireplace and comfortable living area. The bathroom and bedrooms were clean. The hosts are very responsive, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!

Jenny was a great host who was very understanding to our flexible check in needs. We were traveling from downstate and had run into numerous delays on the way, including snow! Jenny cranked the heat for us and left the lights on so when we arrived, albeit very late, we were able to quickly warm up and get inside. Cottage was cozy, private, and surrounded by natural beauty right on the St. Lawrence River. Wonderful stay and would definitely come back in we were in the area again.

What a gorgeous spot! The cottage is so cozy with lots of lovely little touches and the location was so serene. We enjoyed having our coffee as we gazed out at the water. I’m no sure it’s even prettier in the summer.

South Bay Cottage is truly a perfect and lovely lake getaway. Drive off the main road and into your own private cove outfitted with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Once inside, the view of Lake Stoney can be seen through the large windows from anywhere in the main room. The sunsets and starry skies were so peaceful - and even though locals told us it was unusual - we actual had an amazing view of the Northern Lights! We loved that this cottage included all the linens we needed and lots of areas to get cozy and read a book - including the extra-special gazebo. While the kitchen area is small - it is well equipped with everything we needed. Close to great hikes (Petroglyph Provincial Park, High Falls at Eels Creek, Warsaw Caves, and many others.) Also great to explore the area's great golf courses, Wanderlight Alpaca walks (a must do), Peterborough Pete's hockey, Peterborough theatre, and amazing restaurants in Lakefield (Loon, Cassia, and more). Melissa was a wonderful host!

Tracey was fabulous to coordinate our family vacation with. The cottages were absolutely perfect and stocked with everything needed when escaping home. We travelled with 6 kids aged 7 to 12 and all of the extras on the property were a bonus: trampoline, play set, and sand pit. Swimming was clean and refreshing! We hope to come back. There were a total of 5 families (9 adults and 2 kids ages 2.5 years and 1 year). We enjoyed the side by side cottages and that allowed for some separation of families with and without kids. Cottages were quite clean and modern with good amenities. It was a very quiet neighborhood. There were watercrafts available for an additional (very reasonable) fee and we really enjoyed being on the water. We had easy access to the water. There were fire pits and hot tub, which we did not use. You’ll have to take the garbage out to the dump on your way out and there are pre-paid garbage tags. The process was easy and straightforward. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Spent new years here with a group of friends. It was the perfect space to relax and we loved the sauna. Super well appointed kitchen, and very close to beautiful hikes at Silent Lake Provincial Park

Tammy was the sweetest, most helpful hist to my parents. I booked this place for their 1 year anniversary weekend and they were in love. She left them a cute note and got them a bottle of wine to celebrate. They loved the space so much and felt right at home and didn't want to leave. Tammy thank you SO much for your hospitality and taking such good care of my parents. They will absolutely be back!!

We just spent a lovely winter weekend here and it was fantastic. Surrounded by beautiful wintry woods and next to a frozen lake. Cozy fireplace and blankets, good selection of games. Great place to disconnect, unwind, snuggle up, and enjoy the quiet. Would definitely recommend.

Chantyle's cottage was a great find for our family. While it was basic and nothing fancy but that is just what our family loves. We basically only need a spot to sleep and cook, other then that we are outside enjoying the nature we are surrounded by, and this spot was perfect The beach was perfect for swimming, crystal clear, and shallow so the kids could walk out for quite some distance. On top of the beautiful area and comfortable rustic cabin we were greeted by a very friendly, accommodating, and very helpful campground manager Phil and his wife Tanya. Helped us with things we needed right away and gave us suggestions on places to check out that our kids ended up loving....overall amazing experience thanks for having our family stay it was a great location and great place. friendly seasonal campers as well. our family will definitely be back ?

After a difficult week at home we found that Jen’s place was perfect for a getaway weekend by the water. It’s just what we needed. Jen s also an amazing host. Highly recommend her place.
