Vacation rentals in Newtown

Fiona's place was perfect for the one night we were there. Everything was new and the stocked kitchen was really really handy! As said in other reviews, the noise from the road is really loud, so if you are a light sleeper. . . . definitely bring earplugs and maybe also have some white noise sounds or an app to play like we did. She did have a fan in the room which helped to drown out the traffic sounds, but you are right next to a motorway so it can be quite loud. Other than that it was a really nice little self contained unit.

lisa was a very warm caring person, her place was very nice and didn't disappoint as this was my 2nd time staying and I would stay again.

Peter is a top tier host! Place was beautiful with an amazing view, super easy to find and was an easy check in and check out process. House was much bigger than I thought! Lovely home. Would highly recommend if wanting to be out of the busy city ! Amazing place

We had a wonderful stay at Dreenagh and Kevin’s house. It was warm, comfortable with beautiful views. Dreenagh and Kevin were super accommodating to our requests for alternative heating. The house was well equipped with all the cooking essentials.

AMAZING!! perfectly describes this Airbnb. I booked this wonderful home for my family visiting over from Australia for 2 nights. It's much better in person, than in the listing photos. They loved it and wished it was available for another night. It was spacious and comfortable for 6 persons. Other than the dishwasher being out of order, everything else they needed was there to use. There's also a downstairs area where family can hang out. Prem and Sneh are excellent hosts. Can definitely recommend.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom homestead and LOOOOVED the house. Just felt so comfortable and at home. The entire inside was beautiful and modern. Honestly, would definitely go back. It’s worth every cent

Nice touch on arrival with bread milk butter and eggs and a large toblerone waiting. Quite a few steps to navigate to get to front door but once inside views were amazing. We wanted to be car free having got the ferry from South Island - got an uber to the house then got a snapper card next day and buses ran from right outside the house into town (number 23) or you could walk down the hill via alley and steps and catch a no 3. Very cheap public transport $1.60 per trip. Really easy to get around once you got familiar with times and routes. We went to test match at Basin Reserve for three days no problem. You can swim in the bay and watch the surfers there. Right across the bay is the airport where you can watch planes come and go. Flat equipped with everything required - no tv though which didn’t bother us.
