Vacation rentals in Newhouse

This was our third stay at the Sheep Shacks and it did not disappoint. Heather and John always provide a warm welcome and are genuinely lovely people. We know the area well and always find lots to do. We always leave wishing that we could have stayed for longer. The pod was immaculate and warm, the hot tub was ready and waiting and the views, as always, were stunning. A perfect, peaceful retreat. Highly recommend.

We had a wondeful weekend in Edinburgh and the apartment did not disappoint. The location is ideal, close enough to the main sites, but still private and quiet. Paul left some essentials in the apartment, which was much appreciated. The apartment felt bigger than on the pictures and had great touches, from original features to modernised fixtures.

This is the most beautiful cottage! We spent two nights here with our dog and could access some great walks right on the doorstep, all recommended by our host, Jo. Great recommendations for the local pub ‘The Tappit Hen’, one of the best atmospheres in any local pub we have visited. Very friendly locals and some great places to eat. Would 100% recommend a stay here, Jo will make you very welcome!

Fantastic stay, excellent location walking distance to Edinburgh Castle, Calton hill, Royle mile, Grass market location lovely pubs and restaurants nearby. Apartment was very comfortable and clean, Gavin the host was very helpful and very responsive.

A unique, well-equipped apartment for a family trip. In the kitchen all the necessary appliances. Cosy living room. Clean bathroom. We will be happy to come back☺️

What a wonderful place to stay. Thank you so much to Ann and Arthur. The flat is absolutely spotless, beautifully decorated and filled with lots of extra amenities. Without doubt one of the best air BnB’s we have stayed in. Ann was super quick to message and help suggest places to visit and Arthur set up the amazing bbq hut for the children to toast marshmallows. Whenever we are next in the area we will be sure to be staying again! Thank you both.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay! Hosts were extremely helpful and the house was perfect. Lots of treats left by host, which was very thoughtful; this added to the enjoyment of our stay. Hosts had hot tub ready for arrival, which was amazing. We will definitely look to book again!

A wonderful place near Edinburgh castle, beautiful stone buildings dominate the street and walkable distances to make a trip to Edinburgh worthwhile. The flat has welcoming vibes, which is not often the case when travelling to different spots. Would highly recommend. Great hosts.
