Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Newbury Park, Thousand Oaks

This is a beautiful and very well thought out and equipped place. I would say that the description did not adequately describe the level of comfort and luxury felt in this beautifully outfitted home. Every bedroom has all the amenities and creates a private world for each of the inhabitants in each bedroom. The kitchen had everything one might need with many, many extras, paper towels, paper plates, cleaning supplies galore. The area feels like California of the 70’s. The local food places are owned by the people who wait in you who are so grateful that we went there. There is a really fun vintage store with many treasures to look through. We went to a completely free USNavy Seabees Museum which was fascinating. We definitely want to return to the area which has the most beautiful sandy beaches and staying at this house certainly added to the fun. It was my son who is 40, my grandsons who are 8 and 10 and my daughter, the boy’s Mom. There were even thoughtful and entertaining games!

First, Limor was great to communicate with and was very responsive when there was a power outage in the area. Her husband brought over a generator. She kept checking on my family and I, which was very appreciated. She’s a great host and communicator. I would definitely stay again when we’re in the Los Angeles area. Thanks Limor!

I had the pleasure of staying at this stunning home, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. The property is incredibly sophisticated, featuring newer furniture and upscale decor that gives it an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated to create a luxurious and comfortable experience. The hosts were beyond accommodating—due to an emergency with my husband, they graciously allowed us to check out late without any additional fees, which I greatly appreciated. Their kindness and understanding made a challenging situation much easier to handle. If you’re looking for a refined and comfortable place to stay with exceptional service, this home is an absolute gem. Highly recommend!

This is our second stay at Rochelle’s beautiful home. 5 of us - myself and my husband, my 21 year old son, and my 26 year old daughter and her partner fit easily. It feels like such a privilege to be able to stay here - there is everything you could possibly need , the inside is so unique , artistic and user friendly, the outdoor patio area is gorgeous and the location can’t be beat. If the house is available for your dates, I recommend you reserve asap.

Staying at Danna's place was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and at home. The location was perfect — close to everything, yet peaceful and quiet, allowing us to fully relax and recharge. Danna is an incredible host! Fantastic place to stay if you want to be close to Venice. Neighborhood was quiet, very safe, and not too far of a walk to restaurants and coffee shops. My daughters loved having their own rooms. I slept on the couch, which wasn't too bad. There is also an amazing backyard that I can see being really cool during the warmer months.

We really enjoyed the location of the rental as it was on a quiet block and yet still centrally located in Santa Monica (within walking distance of the beach). We appreciated having a grocery store one block away. The hosts were flexible with respect to check-in and very responsive to our needs and questions.

Barbara ‘s place is a listing I will remember! I felt right at home in her cozy apartment as she greeted me with lovely Mau Mau the cat. So many amenities! Snacks, cereals, yogurt, plenty of coffee pods for the keurig machine, bathroom also fully stocked … I only had to bring my toothbrush. The place was quiet, the bed comfortable and Mau Mau is a true gem. I will be back!

nice 2 bedroom apartment with all the amenities. didn't explore condo complex much but seemed well taken care of. private location and gated. parking was private single car garage- just beware if you have anything taller or wider than a Honda Pilot it might not fit. Communication was responsive. No issues.

A good place to stay in Santa Monica. You can enjoy the view of the beach and the beautiful neighborhood just a short walk away, and there are many grocery stores and convenience stores nearby such as cvs, target, tjmaxx, and trader joe's (but it may be a difficult distance to come back with luggage, so I recommend getting around by car). A place to stay if you're visiting with more than 4 friends. However, it does not support parking, so you have to use the public parking lot, which says up to $20 per day as of November 2024, but it holds a daily standard at midnight, so if you park in the evening and go in the morning, you will receive more than $20 for the evening ~ midnight ~ morning cost (maximum). Well, the system is going to do that... Good place locating at Santa Monica. Close to the beach with many convenient shop, supermarket, restaurants near by. Price is a bit expensive, so I would consider visiting here again only when I visit with more than 4 people. Parking is not offered so we had to use the public parking and they say it is only $20 max for a day, but it is calculated new when the day changes so if u park at night, you will pay night ~ midnigt + midnight ~ morning so the fee will be over $20. Overall, the place was satisfying.

Mehry is a very welcoming host and an all-around lovely person! The rental was cozy and clean, and the peaceful back yard space was a sanctuary. Location is great with a car, a short drive from all we were there to see, about halfway between the beach and Museum Mile. Also neighborhood shops just around the corner for coffee, groceries, restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

This is a lovely quiet neighborhood and a very nice accommodation. Our son lives nearby so it is perfect for our visits.

David and Ed are excellent hosts. We stayed for a week while visiting family in the area. Their condo is conveniently located, and the complex is well maintained and quiet. The furnishings are lovely and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, and overall has everything a guest might want. I will definitely stay there again when in the area.

Beachfront property Normas place was clean and tidy had all the needed amenities. Did shopping in Oxnard and Camarillo.

Nicole’s home is gorgeous! It was the perfect staycation with my girlfriends. Spacious, clean home. It feels like everyone has their own space and bathroom. The porches and outdoor spaces were our favorite. This location is perfectly central to great restaurants and shops, gorgeous sunset views on the beach, and Venice! We loved it, would definitely come back.

Beautiful townhouse! Central Santa Monica location with close proximity to West LA and Santa Monica pier/beaches. Very luxurious! We highly recommend for a family or a group!

Fantastic location on the beach; and very quiet and peaceful well away from the road. Kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms great, but a few non functioning lights. Living space comfortable and special views to ocean, dolphins and 180 view of Malibu Beach. Kitchen was modern and has good appliances and lots of space; but lacked cooking utensils and not many China plates or mugs - just a mix of non-matching and mostly plastic. Overall a wonderful stay and a responsive and friendly host on site.
