Family-friendly vacation rentals in Newark

Had a lovely stay at Annette and Fred’s place - the location was great, the house was fully stocked and the hosts were extremely responsive when we had questions. Having a hot tub and gas fireplaces were an added bonus for spending the evenings admiring the views.

Tranquility Base…surely lived up to its name. So comfortable, so charming we felt like a part of the forest. The whole place had so much personality we felt right at home Magical and enchanting getaway Highly recommended We’ll be back

Nico’s place is all you could want for a San Francisco place. It is urbane and classy, reminded me of London. It is located on a quiet street with lots of eating options nearby. The muni line at DuBoce is a few blocks away with easy access to downtown and the airport via BART. I have stayedin many bnb’s in this area, and it is definitely the best. I would definitely stay again.

Laura and Kiran’s cottage was perfect for the stay with my partner. It was secluded, beautifully surrounded by nature, with this gorgeous creek that turned into a river with the pouring rains that exuded an ambient sound. It was cozy, with much attention to detail and beautiful rugs that they had made themselves. It was the spa retreat we needed. I would absolutely stay here again. Only 15 minutes from everything you need. This is my favorite area of Berkeley, I highly recommend!

If you need to stay in West Berkeley, this is a very convenient spot. The cottage is unusual and artistic. We particularly enjoyed the upstairs kitchen with loads of windows.

Felt like it was just lke my home accept they have a hot tub that I used almost every night during my stay also had a beautiful garden. Is very quiet and relaxing.

Don and Lori where very kind and accommodating,had a wonderful conversation with them about the area and history. It was a wonderful comforting place. Will return and recommend.

We had a family gathering ages 6 mos to 74 and it was wonderful. The home was a perfect space to share a family meal and enjoy the company. The hot tub was a treat! Location is great and walkable. Shea is a great host.

The home is amazing and Wrich is extremely easy to contact and very proactive to help with anything you need or any difficulty you at have. It was the perfect place to relax after a busy day. No complaint whatsoever! Would definitely go back.

Definitely recommend Nancy’s place! We had a family gathering including 3 kids under 4 years old, two sets of parents to the kids, and 2 grandparents. The house accommodated us all so nicely, and the layout made it possible to have different activities/conversations happening at the same time. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, the outdoor space lovely (we only used the hot tub, it was a little cold for outdoor relaxing), and she really has thought of everything. The toy selection for the kids was *dynamite* and the many sleeping options really great for families with particular sleepers (kids or adults). Very nicely maintained and well-cared for space. I hope we can return!

The purple beach house was an amazing place to stay with friends. The location was perfect, a short walk right to the beach. The overall house was very accommodating for our group of 5 and close to downtown HMB. Bed were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. Host was very responsive when anything came up or we had a question

2nd time staying here! Great space with nice touches that are appreciated and it’s centrally located for Oakland and the East Bay. Will definitely come back next time I do Airbnb in Oakland

The house was perfect for us. The location was close to everything we wanted to see and do. Very close to hiking and a short drive for day trips to wine country and exploring cities and beaches. Annie was a great host. Checking in was very easy and she was available for anything we needed. I'd look forward to staying in her home on future trips.

Pleasant stay. Quier and close to town. John was easy to communicate with on updating the reservation, check in instructions, and kindly pointed out that I left my car lights on. I would stay here again.

It was the perfect place for our family to gather over the holidays. Cozy but spacious with that back cottage providing a separate space for separate couple.

Jenny was an absolutely wonderful Host and one of the best I've ever seen in my time using Airbnb! Jenny provided me with in depth instructions prior to checkin and was very proactive in communication. Whenever I had questions, Jenny would personally text me on my number to help out. I would highly recommend the place.

Amy's place was wonderful - one of the few places we've ever stayed that was even better in person than in pictures. It was clean, spacious, and very comfortable for the 2 of us. The outdoor space was amazing, plenty of quiet spaces to lounge in the sun and walk around. The area was great as well, quiet but close to downtown, and Amy was a thoughtful and responsive host, we really appreciated her thoughtfulness. The one thing to note is that the Wi-fi could be unreliable - we both worked from the Airbnb, and made it work for the week, but something to note for future visitors. We'd definitely recommend this place and plan to come back next time we visit. Thank you Amy!

Lovely house in a quiet neighborhood. Amenities and supplies were as described, and the house had a very open, relaxing and warm flow to it. Great family trip especially with the heated pool in winter! Gina was very helpful and responsive with all of our questions ahead of and during our stay.

We stayed at Sara's while visiting family nearby, but her home felt like a vacation in itself. The backyard is magical - we spent a fair amount of time there, swimming, grilling/dining, reading/napping. The backyard (and its myriad diversions) even lured our tech-obsessed teenagers away from their devices for extended periods. Everything was well maintained, no detail overlooked. We also enjoyed the access to a peloton bike and workout equipment. The interior was clean, organized, stylish but comfortable. The sunroom and small courtyard off of the bedrooms were great for yoga or stealing a quiet moment with a cup of coffee or book. Sara was responsive and attentive. Instruction booklet was clear and helpful. The stay exceeded our expectations. We hope to be back.

EJ and Nancy have such a lovely property. We easily felt we had our own space. You can tell that they've been doing this for years, and have a great way of making everything comfortable for guests. Our two kids had space to spread out, the playground is not directly next to the front door of the apartment, but you can see it through the yard's trees & hear them more or less within ear shot. Kitchen was amply supplied and set up, & there are plenty of storage spaces and creature comforts to make the stay feel like home. Beds were comfortable & clean, super comfortable pillows. The unit itself doesn't get a ton of natural light, but to be expected in redwoods. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, we had a nice time chatting with them. Wonderful hosts, they felt like family. Their little dog is so so sweet and friendly as well, my kids loved the dog. Great location, easy to get to surrounding areas and Santa Cruz proper. Would return!

Quiet backyard pool house, compact and cozy. Just perfect for staying while I visited family in the area. Host very accommodating and responsive. Didn’t get the chance to use the hot tub, but it was right on the deck next to the house so would be convenient! Was cool when I arrived, but the heater worked great and was quiet and heated up quickly.

What a gem! We had a wonderful time at Steve’s house. The house is beautiful, functional and well decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed plus more. The property itself was incredible - private and peaceful with many activities for kids (and adults). The house is also ideally located close to downtown Los Gatos. Quick and kind responses from our host. We will definitely try and stay here again.
