Good base - 30 mins to Mt Taranaki, 10 mins to Opunake. Close proximity to lots of surf breaks, Pihama lavender farm, Mt Taranaki and many other amazing adventures & scenery. Melissa honestly is the best host I’ve come across on Airbnb (and I’ve stayed at a few places). She was responsive, helpful and even left us goodies in the fridge :) The house was perfect for our needs as we worked at an event in the Bowl of Brooklands. Beds are firm, bathroom was clean and tidy and kitchen had most of the things we needed. Thank you for having us Melissa x

This is a lovely place to stay. We loved the outside facilities and the views were stunning. It also helped that their family were lovely and approachable. Was lovely to be out of town in a quiet place every evening and I would recommend for anyone who visits beautiful Taranaki. A place is only as good as its hosts in my view and our hosts were amazing. It helped make our Matatini experience as a whanau even better. I would recommend whanau!!!

Just a fantastic place. We’ve had issues with other rentals being filled with cheap stuff that looks better in photos than it is, but the quality of everything in this house from the house itself to the furniture to the cookware, everything was premium and gorgeous. The house was very homey and comfortable and the setting was amazing. Such a good spot to stay. Will absolutely be back.

Very convenient apartment for our stay in New Plymouth. Great size, very comfortable, well equipped, and with a pleasant courtyard garden. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay. It's nice to be able to walk to the port area and waterfront walkway.

We had a wonderful time in New Plymouth made even better by our stay at Vaughan’s place. The spacious apartment was very well-equipped, with a comfortable bed, everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking meals and a nice bathroom (with washing machine). There were lots of thoughtful touches that made our stay so pleasant, from the food provided for continental breakfasts (cereals, fruit, breads, spreads), a choice of teas and coffees, and a desk for working. Our hosts were very friendly and responsive, going out of their way to enable us to have a great time!
