Smoking friendly vacation rentals in New Mexico

We have so many good things to say about our week at Serenity cabin! It was the perfect getaway from the chaos of modern living. The cabin was the perfect size, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the view was spectacular. Our neighbors (sheep, cattle, ravens, and dogs) were friendly and welcoming. Carla & crew raise sheep, cattle, and have fresh eggs. We highly recommend purchasing meat and eggs from the ranch — the quality is fantastic. There are plenty of trails for walking, and we made it a week without leaving the property! Some things to consider bringing along — folding lawn chairs (we spent a lot of time just sitting outside), a sweatshirt or lightweight jacket (you’ll be at 8500’, so it’s cool at night), and a crock pot. (We made some spectacular chili using ground beef we purchased from Carla). The road up is steep, but manageable with a high clearance vehicle (truck/SUV), and absolutely worth it! We will be back.

This is our second time staying at Bonnie’s cabin, and it feels kind of like a home away from home. We absolutely love the cabin, the area, and how peaceful it is back in the woods. Thanks again, and we can’t wait to come back!

Ed and Barbara was and is such a blessing. The community here is very therapeutic, even the dogs. This is definitely one of those places that if you could then you would come back over and over again. Barbara will make you feel right at home, so have fun if you dare; you might not want to go home. Nice pool, jacuzzi, lots of of space to feel free and to let loose and be loud. If you're into art sculptures then you have a lot to look at, because this place is filled with the enchanting art work by Ed. This experience will leave an everlasting impression on you. Excellent location and property for our stay. The family enjoyed the home and our Thanksgiving Day event. Next time we will come when weather is warmer and we can use the beautiful pool and back deck area. Pool and table tennis tables were a plus.

Brian’s place exceeded our expectation. We appreciated that he selfishly offered his pool, spa and external fireplace area for us. Was always super responsive to a few questions that we had :-)

Part of me (the selfish part) wants to keep this place a secret so it’ll always be available when I want to stay here. But I also want to share this amazing experience with everyone: beautiful grounds and views, cozy and comfortable rooms, and a friendly and fascinating host. I can’t wait to go back.
