Junei's place is located in a quiet area, 5 minutes by car from the center of Matsushima. The train drops off any guests just in front of the house but is not a source of inconvenience at all once installed in the accommodation. The house is of exceptional quality: beautiful, clean, very well equipped and so quiet! The parking space is there but it is separated from the house just a few steps away. Junei is a hotel that relies on: it provides accurate and detailed information upon arrival and departure of the accommodation. A great experience!

Pros: nice and clean log cabin, with plenty of space and beds, working utilities (water, heater, showers), good value, host was helpful and stayed 45 minutes past checkout time to accommodate us, guided us back to our exact location from the office Cons: difficult to find the management office, the place is out of the way, while the host is very very nice, he was slow to respond as he does so through email.

We were not going to make it to the accommodation until later in the evening. We let the host know and they were very responsive and understanding. Given the directions from the host and using Google maps, it was very easy to find even in the dark. The house was very clean and seemed to be recently updated. Western toilet and in ground bathtub were a plus. We didn't stay long but we definitely enjoyed it!

Had a wonderful stay! Thank you for letting me stay in this lovely villa for two nights. The space was very comfortable, clean, and fully equipped, and I had a relaxing stay. Chisato is a great host that goes out of his way to be helpful. He picked me up from the station and dropped me off again when I needed to leave for my next destination. He also makes a simple breakfast for you which was very delicious. Finally, he also speaks quite a bit of english so don't be afraid if you don't speak japanese. I had a lot of fun conversing with him. The room itself is very nice and there's an onsen and a conveyor belt sushi place nearby.

A group of 5 of us had a lovely couple of nights staying here. Wish we could’ve stayed longer as it had everything we needed, was very spacious, clean, and in a good location being a short walk from a train station and a Lawson mart. It was great being close to the park filled with cherry blossoms during the season and a food market. Ayu was a lovely host and will be happy to accommodate your needs. We were able to drop our bags off before check-in which was very helpful.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this house! The location is simply amazing – calm, relaxing, and surrounded by breathtaking nature that made every moment feel peaceful and serene. It was the perfect getaway for my husband and me to enjoy the holidays in tranquility. The host was wonderful – always supportive and quick to help when we needed assistance, yet perfectly unobtrusive when we didn’t. It truly felt like we had the space to fully unwind. Location is great; near lots of Onsen and bus station. Hosts were amazingly helpful with everything, and always willing to go the extra mile (for example my son was sick and rather than tell us where the pharmacy was, they rang to take us there, walked us to the place and spoke to the pharmacist) They were also great at helping us navigate the area and giving recommendations about how to arrange our trip. They were friendly and caring. Would really recommend staying here.

I had an amazing time in Minamisoma staying at guesthouse Luka! It was truly a guest house experience; my own room with high quality furniture and linens in a beautiful home, immaculate and spacious shared kitchen and bathroom. My hosts were so fun and welcoming and offered the perfect balance of conversation and privacy. The location is a 30 minute walk from Haranomachi station, but there's plenty of taxis around the station during the day (and then it'w a 5 minute ride.) I can't wait to come back!
