The owners were super nice. The location is amazing with a clear view to Croagh Patrick on a clear day with the bay in between. There is a beach within 10min drive. It’s a nice cozy home and enjoyed the visit. Will definitely go back.

I had the pleasure of staying at this lakeside cottage in the Irish countryside. The location is peaceful, set an hour away from Galway, providing the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle. The cottage itself is cozy with a view of the lake, Lough Mask, right from the window. The host, Maura, was welcoming and hospitable. She made our stay extra special by bringing over a delicious Christmas dinner for us, which was a thoughtful and generous touch. She also provided us with fuel for the fireplace, which added a warm, comforting atmosphere to the cottage. She was always available to answer any questions we had as well! The cottage was also exactly as described—charming and well-appointed. Staying at Maura's gave us a great opportunity to disconnect and enjoy the serenity of our surroundings. Overall, this was a lovely stay, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the Irish countryside. Maura's hospitality truly made the experience memorable.

The host was nice, responsive and very helpful. The house is huge and the full family enjoyed time together playing games or reading around the fireplace. The house located 30/40 minutes from Galway allowed us to explore the Connemara, Croagh Patrick as well as the cliff of Moher, even if some drive is needed when the roads get smaller.

Our stay at Ann’s was so enjoyable! She was very communicative and helpful with arrival and departure. She had a wood burning stove on when we arrived and some lemon bread out. There was milk in the fridge for coffee too. The house is beautifully built and she has created an amazing book with local history and recommendations. We would 1000% recommend this place if you’re traveling through Mayo, going to Westport, or Knock shrine. Thank you Ann!

Owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. He ensured that we knew how to go about the house and our comfort was taken care of. Very easy to communicate with. Absolutely beautiful backyard view.

We had a lovely week at James’ place, it was a home from home with all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay. The house is in a beautiful location, nestled in the countryside with lovely views of the surrounding fields. James was very responsive to all our queries and left lots of helpful instructions to ensure everything went smoothly during our time there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at John's place. We had 7 adults staying here over Christmas and were so happy with how well equipped the house was - especially the kitchen! Having 4 bathrooms was great so that there was no waiting around for showers! The house is very close to Westport town - 5 mins driving - where there are lots of bars and restaurants. The house is perfect for families, plenty of space. John was a very responsive and helpful host too. It felt like a home away from home.
