Hotel vacation rentals in Mozambique

We had a great time at Café Central. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is very good. We had a little problem with the booking as the room we booked on Airbnb was no longer available but they were very responsive and the room they offered us as an alternative was also good. The only thing that it was not so good was the WiFi that didn't work in our room. We have just one suggestion: the outside of the hotel is usually full of children asking tourists for money. Although we are aware of the poverty suffered by many people on the island, often the best way to help these children is not to give them money, even though it is very difficult. We were lucky enough to meet an association ("heartseed") on this island, which is dedicated to helping these children (and also helping them get out of the vicious cycle of getting their money by asking tourists). Their suggestions on the best ways to deal with these kids and help them (without simply handing them money) was very helpful, and we thought it might be helpful for other tourists as well. It seems to us that if Café Central shared with guests some information and tips on this topic, as well as the work of this association (or others that may exist), it could greatly benefit the well-being of the guests, and simultaneously help these children.

Great place with a great vibe. The open roof bathroom is quite fantastic and allows a shower under the stars. Great value for money. We will plan to stay longer next time.

I needed accommodation for 3-weeks while working in Nampula. This provided the perfect option. A central location, and so easy to walk to my clients office, a spacious and bright room that was both a great place to relax and also to work and a staff team who were professional and courteous and the option of good food with a ‘home cooked’ feel. I’ll definitely stay here next time I am in Nampula.

Sanny's place was great for a quick overnight stay. The room was huge and the king bed was nice. We would stay again. Sanny also fairly compensated us when the wifi was broken. Great customer service!

What a great find! Mark was very responsive and made it easy for me to manage a late night arrival. the staff are wonderful - so I extended for 3 more nights! note that the guesthouse is up a sandy hill, so a bit tricky to arrive on foot with lots of luggage, but it is worth it. thanks again!

Our stay at Jefna Lodge surpassed our expecyations. The flexible check in time was appreciated. After a very long and tiring day of driving, the clean and aesthetically pleasing space was welcome. Little extra touches and friendly staff added to the whole experience. The road to Jefna is tough, but the hospitality is worth it. Thank you Nadia, Anton and the rest of the team for being so lovely.
