A perfect haven for hikers, skiers and all who love the beauty of the ADK, Don’s place high up on a ridge overlooking majestic peaks is a truly special and unique experience. Worth every penny and deserving of more than 5 stars, you will want to return again and again to enjoy stunning views, all the comforts home ( full kitchen, comfy beds, fireplace and hot tub) and a kind and attentive host who is a local expert on the trails and history of the ADK, and who is generous with his time and knowledge to help create a memorable experience for his guests. We enjoyed a wintry wonderland this visit with excellent skiing at nearby xc ski centers, including expert trails at MVH Olympic Center and easy wooded trails at the ADK Welcome Center, all expertly groomed. Don’s place is perfect for winter climbing from the ADK Loj, ice skating on Mirror Lake, viewing World Cup events at the Olympic sites, and dining and shopping in nearby Lake Placid. It is a gem that is too good to miss. Enjoy!

We stayed here for a family vacation to go skiing at Whiteface. This home was everything listed and more, and we absolutely would book again if back in the area. The home was incredibly spacious, yet provided a cozy welcoming feel as if it were our own home. The hot tub and sauna were perfect after a day of skiing, and a nice way to wind down on a cold winter’s night. The bedrooms were large with plenty of storage room, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. I only wish we were able to stay longer!

We are returning customers, so that says a lot. Beautiful home, great location, and nice neighborhood. Peggy was easy to reach, a great host, and replied to our questions quickly. Had a great time, enjoyed the town, Olympic complex along with the fresh snow!

Clean, comfortable waterfront home. We really appreciated the hot tub after a long day of travel. If you like beer the Raquette River Brewery is a very short drive from Little Wolf Rd. It is a welcoming, relaxing establishment with decent food truck food available. I highly recommend this home if you ever stay in the Tupper Lake area.

We overall had a great stay at this mountain house! The house was exactly as listed, clean and organized well, and the king size beds in each bedroom were such a nice touch. Judi was extremely responsive and provided easy directions for checking in and recommendations for the area. The location was great and we enjoyed the five minute drive to Whiteface Mountain for skiing! We will happily stay here again for future vacations!

Linda’s place in Lake Placid is my go-to stay every year, and for good reason! The house is always spotless and welcoming, with a cozy fireplace that’s perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The hot tub is an amazing bonus, making every trip even more enjoyable. Linda is a fantastic host, ensuring everything is just right. Can’t wait to come back next year!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the nest, we are snowmobilers and the location is great, right on the trail, beautiful scenery, the hot tub was awesome after a day of riding the trails, Kevin is a top-notch host willing to assist in any way he can. The apartment is nice offering all the amenities of home and plenty of space to stretch out

My husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway. We weathered a snow storm at Barb's place. Between the jacuzzi and the game room, we were pleasantly entertained! The kitchen was perfect for all of our meals. Very comfortable and clean. We never left and would definitely return!

Spacious and pretty clean. Snow tubes and kayaks for use is nice. There's already a hill right out the back door to go tubing down. An easy 5 minute drive into town.
