Vacation rentals in Montescaglioso

Great place to stay for a day trip to Matera. Just a short walk from great restaurants, shopping and the Sassi. Was perfect for us!

Very clean, tastefully decorated. Nice landlady. Area very nice and quiet. Lots of mosquitoes that can be expelled with mosquito spray and candles! Windows had all the mosquito nets, which was great. It had some bikes, unfortunately partly in poor condition. Initially the village helpful gas station that offers bicycle service. The long sandy beach almost empty at the end of October, beach cafe still open, pizzeria original and very delicious. We had a great stay!

We had a great stay at Villa Anna. The house is nicely decorated (what a beautiful view from the bedroom and bathroom) with an eye for detail. The kitchen is also very well equipped. Finally, there is a large terrace, ideal for a BBQ or aperitif in the sun. The house is also very suitable for (young) children. I'd recommend to anyone.

Great spacious apartment, clean and very central to get around, kind and friendly hosts

If you are visiting Matera and want to be in the center of the Sassi, this location is ideal. The space is clean, beautiful and well appointed. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is hot and powerful. The kitchen is well stocked and Giuseppe left us snacks and beverages to welcome us. Note: Follow Giuseppe’s instructions on how to arrive at the apartment. GPS will get you there but on a much more difficult route to traverse with luggage.

Lovely apartment with a great view.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Pietro and Valeria’s Airbnb in Matera! The apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated, with such thoughtful attention to detail that made us feel right at home. They even left us a generous selection of treats, which was such a sweet touch! The location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of Matera, making it easy to explore this stunning city. Pietro and Valeria were kind and attentive hosts, ensuring everything was perfect for our stay. Highly recommend this gem of a place to anyone visiting Matera!

We spent a weekend in Matera. We are very satisfied with the very nice accommodation, great location near the stone area, very kind and helpful host.

Everything was excellent, the apartment exceeded our expectations, the view from the balcony is a 1000, at night you stare at the Sasso and you feel like you're in a movie. Luciano was an excellent host, he was waiting for us in the main square 50 meters from the apartment. He explained what to do very kindly, and he also offered to keep the car in a parking lot near the accommodation and gave us a voucher for breakfast!!! You can't ask for more!!! Highly recommended and we will surely be your guests again.
