Vacation rentals with lake access in Montague County

I loved this place. My family was comfortable. We played games , cooked meals , went fishing . The best part was seeing deer in the morning. I got to see four of them right next to the house . It was awesome. The house was clean . I love the quality bedding. The house was cozy . I hope to come back soon . It was exactly what we needed for our family. A quiet comfortable getaway.

This is a beautiful area for a getaway. The living space was comfy and quaint. The stars at night did not disappoint. The lake was peaceful. I especially loved the geese that would take off and land nearby. The local towns had an alluring charm. We enjoyed the nearby German meat market, antique stores, and artillery museum! Deborah is a kind and gracious hostess. She gave great restaurant and winery recommendations. She made sure our experience was top notch.

We will defiantly stay at Marty’s place again. You cannot beat the private setting and beautiful lake views. We used the kayak and paddle board which worked great. Fishing from the dock was also wonderful. It was new, clean, dock was very safe. The house was also very new and clean with plenty of room for all our guests. If you are looking for a relaxing weekend on the lake give it a visit.

Beautiful quiet place. Especially when we ended up visiting when it was covered in snow. It was absolutely amazing. Marianne is very proactive and helpful. Look forward to coming again soon.

Amazing weekend retreat with beautiful views and great place to spend a cozy time

Really enjoyed our stay! The place was well maintained, stocked with everything we needed & very clean. We loved sitting outside on the porch every evening to watch the sunset by the fire. Peaceful & quiet spot at the end of the street. Hope to return!

This tiny home was cozy and had everything we needed. It’s a nice spot to relax and recharge, especially if you want a break from political discussions with family over the holidays. I really appreciated how quiet and private it was. Would definitely stay here again!

We were in need of a “place away from people” for Thanksgiving, and the cabin on the lake was perfect! There was plenty of room for my two adult kids and my husband and I comfortably. There was plenty of outside seating and spaces that honestly, that’s where most of our time was spent! Wonderful stay!

Took a group of boys to this house for my son’s 14th bday. Really neat place. The house was more spacious than we expected. The boys love to fish and caught 30-40 total fish (catfish, sand bass and large mouth). The boys and the adults had a blast. Close enough to Nocona to run into town to grab something but it has a secluded feeling. Lake was not crowded despite a fishing tournament going on. Will definitely be going back.
