Chalet vacation rentals in Middle Smithfield Township

My wife and I enjoyed our winter anniversary stay at the cabin. It was clean and cozy. We enjoyed time by the fire place, free streaming services, and the Keurig(bring bottled water for coffee). The area around the cabin was very walkable in a development with two lakes. It was close to amenities like Walmart (we had to purchase wash clothes and firewood), the interstate and food. We recommend to bring your own pillow if you like them soft. The water pressure was fine in the kitchen but low in the bathroom. Jessica was easily reached to work out any questions. If you are looking for a cozy, comfortable cabin close to everything, stay with Jessica. We would stay again.

Excellent great place has plenty of room 2 of the bedroom has private bathroom and the basement with the bar and the pool to play was great. Has a fire pit outside.

My husband and I adored this place! It was in a beautiful location that was very peaceful, which was just what we were looking for. It was a nice escape from the city where we are from. It was a very friendly community and the lake was a walk away. We were fortunate enough to be during a snowstorm and it made everything mystical and cozy. We got to stay in, cook a nice meal, watch movies and see the snow fall! The place was absolutely beautiful and everything you could imagine/hope for as a cabin in the poconos. It had absolutely everything we needed and more! The pictures don’t even do the beauty and warmth of this home justice! Magda was very welcoming, attentive to our needs, and quick with her responses. We felt at home and would love to come back and enjoy another getaway in this dreamy woodsy wonder.

Our family has stayed at Arek's house three times before this trip. The location is great. The house is at the deeper end of the lake, so you can easily swim from the shore. There are three kayaks and a rowboat to use on the lake. The deck is a great place to drink coffee in the morning and eat dinner at night. For creature comforts the beds are super comfortable and the wifi is speedy fast. We will definitely stay there again.

We were very comfortable and Wills place had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away. We enjoyed the game room with our kids and appreciated the fenced yard for our dogs. There was some extreme weather (snow, ice, rain and wind) and the house was warm and well insulated! We plan to be back.

Amazing people. My children and I needed a place to stay while there was an issue at home. They were extremely accommodating and even offered to move their own stay at the home to accommodate me. If I could give 10 stars I would. Great house, great people!!! There are other homes available all over the place but not rented from people like THEM !!! If you have options… pick this one.

We had a lovely time at Javier and Mariela's place. Traveling with two small kids is not easy, but it was made much easier because of all the kid- and family-friendly parts of this house. It was also in a great location for exploring the surrounding area. Would absolutely stay here again.

Maggie was the best host! She was super responsive and accommodating. She made sure we made it to the property safely and without any problems. Any time I had a question she was very quick to respond. We loved this house and it was perfect for our bigger group for a weekend trip!

This house was SPOTLESS and felt so fresh and clean. Everything is updated - beds are super comfy. This house was perfect for our group - owners were detail oriented and responsive!

Louise was responsive, thorough, and very friendly from start to finish. She sent out local things to do and everything was clear.

Our stay in Jim Thorpe was so restful. The chalet has the most beautiful natural light, and is furnished minimally for a serene but comfortable stay. We enjoyed grilling, chatting by the fireplace, and cooking in the kitchen. The place was big enough for our group of 12 to congregate. The bathrooms were clean and luxurious and the bedrooms were quiet and comfortable. Would certainly book again!

We had a great time at the cabin. We had three families and place was amazing. Brian was very accommodating and responded within few minutes. Jacuzzi was extra clean and house has more than anyone one vacation or long weekend away might need. It is steps from the lake and five minutes from big boulder. Has an amazing basement that is specifically designed to store all your winter gear. Would love to come back for another long weekend.

Everything was great. The house has everything you need. The hosts were very nice and responsive.

My 6 year old and I stayed here for a few nights and had a wonderful time. The location is great - the house is near many amenities, restaurants and fun things to do. It is very quiet and peaceful here, the home is in a gated community with quiet times which made the stay enjoyable. We even saw lots of deer passing through. The house itself was very cozy and clean. It is well decorated and my son LOVED the bathtub. There were a few toys and books for kids, and the community the house is in has a playground. Our stay was very enjoyable and we will definitely return again!

Great place to stay with family and friends!! So much to do in the house, including a game room, sauna, and a hot tub. The fire pit outside is a great place to hang out, and if it gets too cold outside, there is a beautiful fire place inside as well! Our host thought of everything, and had the place stocked with everything we needed. Felt at home as soon as we got there, and we spent almost all of our time in the house because there was just so much to do there! All around amazing experience, easy 5 stars, a great find!!

We accidently left a pair of car keys behind. Brad was super helpful in locating them and getting them back to us! A great trip at a beautiful location, with awesome owners. I wish you could give more than 5 stars!

The house was nice we stayed over new years and It was a nice place together as a group. Each room has its own A/C system and controls, slightly outdated in that regard but allows more customization in that regard. House had no problems staying heated. A large communal space makes it great for larger groups. An older house but that somewhat adds to the retreat experience at the lake and surrounding attractions. I would stay here again. HOA had a lot of rules regarding use of the lake, but as it was winter that didn't affect our stay. Great communication from the host. They have a nicely prepared book of local attractions and places to eat. Thanks for the great stay!

We enjoyed our stay. Whitney was very helpful from the time I booked until check out. She was always very responsive. The place was beautiful and looked just like the pictures. We truly felt at home, and the kids enjoyed having their own space. I felt a sense of peace while staying at golden owl! I absolutely can not wait to stay again.

We had a wonderful time at Michelle and Sean's lake house! For this trip to the Poconos, I wanted to get away but still feel “at home”—and that’s exactly how we felt. We usually stay at resorts, but this time we chose peace and quiet. We’ve stayed in other Airbnbs that were great, but felt like nicer hotels. This truly felt like borrowing a friend’s lake house. It’s clear Michelle and Sean use this home to unwind and are generously sharing that comfort. My husband and I stayed with our three kids (14, 12, and 10), and we had everything we needed—and more! We never once heard “I’m bored.” Aside from a nearby horseback ride, we stayed at the house all weekend—grilling, relaxing by the lake, hanging on the deck, playing yard games, reading in the hammock, and soaking in the hot tub. I wanted a peaceful getaway for my 40th birthday, and the hosts left a balloon, flowers, and a gift—so sweet! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

One of my favorite places to spend Thanksgiving with my family. The place was AMAZING and what a view. Everything was a 10 plus. I would definitely come back during the summer.

What a perfect way to end the new year and begin new traditions for our family! This cozy little cabin looks like it came right from a fairytale. Beautiful views of the lake, adorable decorations and if you are in a hybrid role/can WFH - there’s a desk on the second floor overlooking the lake. Fred was a great host and very responsive with any concerns we had! If you go in the wintertime make sure you pack heavy clothes - PA/Pocono winter is no joke 🥶🥶❄️ this would also make a fun / adorable summer stay!
