Vacation rentals in Mehal Head

Maureen is a wonderful host. We had a late check-in, she waited for us, told us how and what to use in the house, recommended places to visit, bought us food, which was very nice of her. The house is located on a tranquil street, but at the same time, there is a shop nearby and only about 30 minutes to the city center. All photos correspond to reality. The house has everything necessary for a comfortable stay, and we felt at home. Many thanks, Maureen, we had a lovely stay and will be happy to return to your home again!

We stayed in The Gallery, it was a truly beautiful space for two. Lots of light from the velux windows, beautifully furnished and so so comfortable. There were candles, lots fresh flowers, fresh eggs, bread, scones and wine to welcome us. The log burner gave us a cosy warmth on a cold September evening. Our host Myra was the best host, from the warm welcome to the splendid travel trips. Her advice made our holiday, particularly the trip to Mizen Head on our way home. A big thank you to Myra, Derry and the dog Frankie. We hope to visit you again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Willow House. Katie was extremely helpful and responsive. The Christmas tree and decorations were absolutely fabulous ! We really felt at home there. Willow House was spotless and beautifully finished. We will definitely be back as we loved staying here.

It was a beautiful property. We loved the coziness, the fireplace, the space and the view. A hair dryer would have been nice and a DVD player for all the DVDs that were there. Very clean and comfortable. Great memories and just what we were looking for. Thanks!

I cannot recommend The Old Milking Stall (Tim and Barbara) enough!! I stayed there with my family for 4 days and it was more than we could imagine! Tim and Barbara themselves are so welcoming and helpful, they couldn’t be any nicer if they tried! They provide a thoughtful welcome hamper! And for their home it is gorgeous! So beautiful from the garden to the reading nook, it’s perfect for all! Their pet dogs being your friend is a bonus! If you need any help they are willing to do what they can from taxi advice to food recommendations! If you need a place to stay in Skibbereen, The Old Milking Stall is definitely the place to stay! If you're seeking tranquility and a connection with nature, this idyllic log cabin retreat is the perfect escape. Nestled amidst serene landscapes, this truly charming cabin offers everything you could possibly hope for. With the most stunning views and nearby mountain walks, Sophie's cabin has easy access, with parking, peace & quiet, a log burner and an actual half-door!!!! We were only there for a short time but would have loved to stay an extra few nights if we could have, but we had to get back to reality. Close to the beach and the local village of Allihies, this gorgeous hideaway is ideal for relaxation and rejuvenation and one we highly recommend. We will be back. Thank you Sophie x

We had a delightful stay at this charming property! The place was spotless, The listing was spot-on, and our host was incredibly communicative and accommodating. The location was fantastic—just a short drive from Clonakilty and about a 15-minute walk via a footpath, making it easy to explore the area. All the amenities were as described, and while some reviews mentioned spotty Wi-Fi, we only had a minor hiccup at the start. Once resolved, it worked perfectly for our group of seven. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property to others looking for a spacious and convenient getaway!

Lovely house, very spacious lots of room for big families. Gorgeous scenery ! Not at all walkable so would recommend a rental car but Jonathan was also quick to recommend reliable taxi services! Thanks a lot!
