Vacation rentals in Mde

Comoros is a lesser known country but it shouldn't be that way. What a great place to visit and Ali's place was perfect. The location is excellent - close to stores, restaurants, and everything you need. There's a balcony which is a fun place to hang out and watch the interesting bats flying around the trees in the city. Ali is just a great guy and super helpful for anything you need. The doorman Steven is a really good guy and helpful if you need to arrange something. The flat has nice cold AC and everything you need for your stay. Ali's accommodation was perfect and he made my stay in Comoros extremely memorable. Also the internet was really good which I appreciated since I work a lot. You cannot go wrong booking this flat!

The room looked similar to the pictures, even though I got another room. The room change was due to the effects of a cyclon that was just before my arrival. There was no warm water, with the water not very cold due to the temperatures. Breakfast and dinner were so good and especially the chicken was delicious even though the portions could have been larger. Breakfast cost 5€ and dinner 7/8€. Feyzlat's sister and the other staff were very helpful and helped you very well. Although none of the staff was able to speak English (which is relatively bad in the Comoros), communication through translation apps worked well. The property is located along the main road (which you haven't heard of) between the airport and Moroni, so you can get everywhere by shared taxi from there. Also, the sea view was priceless while eating.

4-night stay at this spacious apartment a little north of Moroni city centre. Despite some issues with power outages I felt comfortable and safe throughout my stay, bedrooms windows are protected from mosquitos. A/C was out of service, but the host intends to fix it soon and there is a breezy wind almost all of the time. The host (Daniel) and his family were incredibly helpful, communicative and made my stay an exceptional one. He had great recommendations for the island and I enjoyed some insightful discussions about life and everything with him. I wish him well for his future, his young family and his endeavour to finish his building work the way he is pursuing. Thank you indeed for an authentic and truly marvellous AirBnB experience!

Farida & Serge's place (aka Farida Lodge) has been a nice haven for my short stay in Moroni. I got the sea view directly in front of my room's balcony which is very spacious. The bed was comfortable enough. As mentioned already, there are two dogs that might make you a bit nervous but Farida made sure that I felt safe by asking her people to accompany me until I started feeling comfortable and the dogs got also used to me. The place is in front of the road which makes it easy to pick up taxis to go around. I also tried to walk around but wasn't sure what I was looking for but I can say I felt relatively safe. The shared spaces like the kitchen are clean and organized. Wifi is strong, to those who intend to work from Farida's place. Unfortunately, on my last night, the grill restaurant next door hosted a party (or so it seems) which sounded so fun except that I wasn't invited and couldn't sleep because of the music. Other than that, things went pretty well (Google helped with French!).

It was a very recharging and peaceful week during which I felt very welcome, slept well and had all that I needed. Great tips and ideas about where to eat, what to see, how to get around. Many thanks and I highly recommend visitors to Moroni to stay here. I would love to visit again.
