Vacation rentals with a fire pit in McHenry

The house was exactly what we expected based on the listing. The house was clean, modern and we enjoyed the lake views. Our family also enjoyed the privacy of the backyard for the fire pit and hot tub. A lot of homes in this area have steep driveways and we appreciate that this house’s driveway wasn’t that steep. It could easily hold two cars. We also had great communication with from the host. This was a great stay for our family of 4!

We had a lovely winter week at Deep Creek! The location is terrific. You can enjoy views of both the lake and Wisp from the house! There is a grocery store, souvenir shop and coffee shop just across the lake. There was plenty of room for our group to spread out in the house and enjoy time together. The beds were comfortable and tvs were a hit. The game room downstairs was great for the kids! It was cold while we were there so the 2 basement bedrooms and the living room were chilly even when we adjusted the thermostat. Overall, communication with Matt was great and it was a wonderful place to stay!

Gina's place was quiet and comfy. The fireplace was a nice welcoming touch on a cool fall day. would stay here again!

I was happy with our stay at Zac's cabin. I would recommend it for couples and small families. Very convenient to Wisp and made for stress free ski weekend!

We loved the accommodations! We had everything we needed and more. The place was so clean and nicely decorated. We will definitely we rebook.

To start off the house was gorgeous and very cozy, it was easy to navigate the house in the neighborhood and the neighbors were very helpful and friendly when our cars got stuck in the snow. The house itself self is fully stocked when it coming to cooking or hosting small dinner events. And the view of the lake its self is very beautiful. It was very easy to reach and communicate to David when we needed help and this is a great place to spend some quality family time.

This place was perfect! We originally had 8 people and had 2 last minute friends that were able to come and we all had more than enough space. The instructions for check in & check out were very clear. It was easy to find the spot and very convenient. We got a shuttle to the Honi Honi and it was a 2 minute drive to there, Uno, and Arrowhead. The only thing that was a little bit of a headache/confusing was the parking. The communication was clear and not the hosts fault, but if you have more than 2 cars be prepared to park elsewhere/have a friend take you to and from as the spots are very limited. Will definitely stay again!

We came to Deep Creek with our camping crew for something to do in the off season. Our ages ranged from 50s to 70s. The area was beautiful. We enjoyed being on the lake and the little sunroom. The house had plenty of items needed in the kitchen. Highly recommend this home!

Diane’s place was in a great location, super clean, modern, and very comfortable. She was responsive before, during, and after our trip. Great hosts! Also loved the fresh eggs she left for us! We will definitely be back again. Thank you!

Joe’s house is a great place to stay with a small group of friends. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the neighborhood during a snowy week. There were guests staying in the unit below us that can be heard, but we had no issues with loud noises during quiet hours. We did experience some discomfort with the “master bedroom” bed/ mattress but would definitely stay at Joe’s again.

An absolutely beautiful location! I was able to watch the leaves change in fall while soaking in the deck hot tub. The studio apartment was perfect as my home away from home while on a travel nursing assignment. I had everything I needed. I was able to bring my roku and watch my TV shows while relaxing in the recliner chair. The shower is very roomy. I love that a washer and dryer was included. The only thing I wish it had was a toaster oven…but that is a luxury not a need. The stove, toaster, and microwave were perfect for my month stay. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to “get away” or working in nearby by Oakland, MD. The host is wonderful and very responsive.

The Lucky Duck is a very calm and relaxing place to stay. We enjoyed the views and the local population of ducks and geese who welcomed us as we came and went. The place was spotless & spacious and had all the little things we needed for a great visit. Would highly recommend booking.

My boyfriend and I loved staying at Laura's Rustic Memories cabin. It's a perfect cozy getaway for two looking for peace, seclusion and beautiful surrounding. We loved sitting in the hot tub and looking up at the stairs and hiking nearby Swallow Falls. Laura was a great host -- communicates and made sure we were okay to get home on snowy roads. I recommended four-wheel or all wheel drive if coming in the winter and an HTMI chord if wanting to watch something beyond basic cable. This was an ideal place to ring in 2025 and we are eager to come again in the fall.

We went for the weekend and it was amazing! The location is great, very private, but easy access to everything. We got lucky and there was snow when we got there and it continued to snow almost the whole weekend. It was beautiful! The cabin is perfect. Has an awesome wood-burning stove and anything else you might need. We can’t wait to visit again in the future!

This property is amazing! Our family found it to be the perfect getaway to play board games and watch the many deer pass through the woods. If you are looking for something quiet that feels like home, this is the place! We would definitely love to come back!

This house was perfect for our group and will be for yours as well. The peaceful setting in the woods is wonderful if you want to stay in one place for days at a time. You are less than 5 minutes from the town of Friendsville if you need a few groceries from Dollar General, a coffee at The Root Cafe, or are going white water rafting. Deep Creek Lake is 20 minutes south if you are looking for a few more touristy stops or restaurants to choose from. Most importantly the lodging was perfect and the hosts were extremely kind and responsive, going above and beyond to leave snacks, s’more’s, eggs, and other breakfast items, as well as everything we needed for a campfire or to grill. Look for the red kayak when you first arrive to find the driveway.

My family had a great stay at Lazy Bear. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kids loved the basement game room and we had snow to use the sled riding hill.

Spotless, super cozy, welcoming and great private location. Large porch and everything you could possibly need was available on site! Definitely one we look forward to return to.

Absolutely LOVED our stay at the cabin! Super cozy and cute interior with beautiful views! The vinyl collection was insanely cool and the sound system was awesome (especially the bass). Hot tub was fully functional and very relaxing. The kitchen was adorable and had all the essentials (even a griddle! perfect for pancakes). If you plan to venture down to Bear Creek, wear some old shoes and pants you don’t care about getting dirty! Love love love the trail going down to the creek! Perfect place for a weekend getaway; highly recommend to all other travelers!

Neil was a great host!!! The cabin was amazing and just how it looked in the pics, very clean and cozy! There was plenty of pots, pans and other items you need or cooking as well as dishes and silverware!!! Neil was very responsive the whole time from booking until our last day!!! He gave names of local restaurants and things to do in the area!! I'd 100% recommend staying here if you are seeking a relaxing, cozy and stress-free vacation!!!! We will be back!!!!
