Vacation rentals in Maviddapuram

Sunflower House, was a home away from home! Neat and tidy, and maintained during our 3 night stay. Lavan (caretaker) was quite helpful, he organised a quick meal for my 3 y.o nephew when we arrived late in the evening! Rooms have AC and fans, bathrooms were clean, beds were comfortable with clean linen. It’s a shame the surrounding area doesn’t compare to the property. The lane leading to the house is narrow. So, anything larger than a 12 seater vehicle will not be able to be driven to the house. Location is easier to find if you use the GPS co-ordinates provided on this listing.

This is a lovely villa with all modern amenities, great wifi, smart TV, ac in bedrooms, fans throughout, big fridge/freezer and washing machine. The kitchen is very well equipped. The patio area at the front is a nice sit-out place day or night. The plot is lovely and is shared with a second property owned by a young family at the rear but separate to Earnest's place. They are friendly and helpful people, with a small-holding, pets etc. There are small kiosk type shops and a bakery within walking distance, Jaffna and restaurants etc are about 6km away, so a peaceful location which feels like being in the countryside. Pick-Me tuktuks /taxis available locally and good prices. We had a great stay here and wouldn't hesitate to chose this place again if staying in Jaffna.

Wonderful place to stay in Jaffna, to get a Jaffna style experience, in a clean, modern and comfortable home. Sindaruban and his family are very hospitable and responsive, and happy to help with anything. He organised a cook for us who made excellent and authentic Jaffna food. And all was great value. Highly recommended in terms of Jaffna accommodation options.

The house is located in a devine neighborhood near to a hindu temple. When you wake up and sit on the balcony you can feel the kovil vibes. The whole apartment is air-conditioned and equipped with new and high-quality furniture. The kitchen is big and has everything needed to cook dinner for a whole family. The scenery from the balcony is surreal. You are surrounded by palm, papaya, banana, and many other trees. There is also a rooftop floor that is large, but empty. So full potential of that rooftop floor has not been exploited, but it's still nice to hang out there after the sun has set. All-in-all great value for money.
