We Loved the stay at the off grid cabin near the beach, the location is so beautiful. The outside shower worked great, the wood stove warmed up the place nicely. We had lots of candles and battery operated lights so we managed fine. Just wish we could have stayed longer…enjoy!

Matthew was super easy to deal with and his place was perfect for my stay, I need a place for a month for work and felt right at home. His house has every thing to cook great meals and chill out. I like to run after work and the sanctuary is right around the corner and that leads to the beach. Definitely recommend for longer stays.

Rainforest Studio - a quiet getaway on Haida Gwaii

Ainsley's Rainforest Studio was an extraordinarily peaceful place to begin and end every day of magical explorations in Masset. The space is beautiful. Tidy and bright for being tucked in the forest, from the moment we parked on the driveway, and then entered a privacy screen made of alder branches - there was tranquility. A meticulously placed driftwood log pillar inside the Studio hints at the proximity to the quiet beach just across Tow Hill Road. A truly wonderful place!

The Spare Girl West Coast Hideaway

A perfect little cabin in a fairytale forest with just a short walk down the property to the beautiful north beach! Lots of chopped wood was provided for the wood burning stove and there was drinking water a plenty. Everything that we needed to cook our meals was present in the kitchen. Just make sure you bring lots of ice for your coolers and you can easily stock up on more in Masset. The shared garden shower had on demand hot water and was just a few steps from the cabin. The bed was comfy and sheets and towels were clean! We couldn’t have asked for more! Overall we had a very serene and lovely stay! Thank you Meredith!

The cottage could not have been more perfect. Nestled near a coffee shop, local market and pub with amazing food as well as a beautiful pier to walk. James was engaging and responsive. Everything was clean, fresh, and comfy with quaint touches. Would (and will) stay again.

Charmaine's place is lovely. One feels right at home immediately. The kitchen had all necessary implements, and fortunately some things we forgot, like sugar and spices. It has the right combination of charm and utility. It is very close to hikes, beaches, and a short drive to Tow Hill. We went for dinner in Port Clements, a short drive away. There is a beautiful shop in old Masset, just five minutes down the road, and a fully-stocked large supermarket around the corner.

This place was absolutely stunning, the scenery surrounding the home itself was so beautiful and the natural light inside was so amazing, there’s a wood stove that keeps the place nice and toasty. It’s a nice travelling distance between everywhere on the island and it’s far enough away from the towns that it’s a nice private little place. It was definitely a home away from home and Kiku was super helpful and friendly. She responded fast to any messages or questions I had and recommended a few things to my boyfriend and I to do as it was his first time on Haida Gwaii. I would definitely stay here again.

This was our second stay at Patricia's place and we were there for 11 days. We love the location, with views over the inlet and within walking distance to the market, shops, restaurants, trails, the bird sanctuary, etc. This is one of the most affordable places in the area to stay, with all of the amenities and comforts, and for up to 6 people. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Masset, and would highly recommend staying here. Patricia is responsive, helpful, leaves clear instructions, etc. All necessary bedding, towels/linens, and kitchen ware is available. The house is warm and dry, and a great place to spend time together after a day of beach combing! Thanks again, Patricia. We hope to stay again soon.
