The cottage was perfect for my weekend in town! It was cozy, very clean, easy to find and I felt right at home. I was visiting for a horse show and it was conveniently located to the event just down the road. Would definitely stay here again!

Melissa’s place was amazing! My husband and I enjoyed our weekend away from home. The layout and the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. We felt right at home. The place had everything that you need to have an enjoyable time but still close enough to surrounding areas to gather food and gas. We will be back again real soon! Thank you Melissa❤️

2nd time booking was just as clean as the first!

Our 3-night stay at Legacy Lodge Bunkhouse in Windsor, NC, was a delightful escape to celebrate my wife’s and son’s birthdays. The bunkhouse kept our two kids entertained with games, toys, an air hockey table, and bunk beds our son adored. Outside, a mini paradise awaited: multiple fire pits (unlimited wood for $30, highly recommended), play areas, and a covered concrete space perfect for rollerblading and scootering. We enjoyed the wood-fired pizza oven and grilled steaks, though the propane grill needs a deep clean. The thoughtful birthday gifts and decorations for our son, plus a “Honk, it’s my birthday!” sign by host Deena (explaining the passing cars’ honks), added such a warm touch. This peaceful retreat is ideal for families or anyone seeking serenity. We’d absolutely recommend it!

This home was super quiet set in a rural area. You can literally sit outside and have the most peaceful experience in this setting. The home was definitely a country home super cute and quaint, but please be mindful this is a animal friendly home. The host responded and adjusted things that I had concerns about in a timely manner. Lindas home had menues to local restaurants which i found super helpful we used a few and we all were super surprised as to how good the food tasted. Everything was in working order.

I was pleasantly surprised with Melody’s tiny cabin it looked exactly like the photos, better honestly, and even had a little loft (not pictured) that would be perfect for kids if you brought along an air mattress. We came to visit our daughter and go to the ECU football game. The hotels around were full and what was left were so expensive. This little cabin was worth the price and only a 30 minute drive from the college. My only suggestion would be to reach out before you arrive and ask them to turn on the air conditioner. It was hot in the cabin when we arrived late at night, but there were so many windows with screens that we were able to open and it cooled off fast from the cool night air! We would definitely like to stay again on our next visit to ECU if the cabin is available!
