One of the nicest hostels I've stayed at! Everything was clean and straightforward. I loved the location and walked to most things I did while visiting! I'd love to stay again.

Stayed in the Hemingway Suite with 3 of my close friends and absolutely loved it, will be back next year.

I came into town due to a sick fur-baby. Needed this as a very last minute also needed a quiet space to try to recover and exactly what I got. Clean room. Comfy bed. Great temp. Clean bathroom. In the morning was nice to meet folks who share a great cup of coffee with me. Back again tonight! Price was well worth it and more comfortable than any hotel.

This place was absolutely amazing from the moment I booked it to the moment I checked out. Everything is clean. There’s a refrigerator and sticky notes to label your food. The surroundings are beautiful lots of things in walking distance I will 100% be back soon. Great job crash pad!

The location is perfect—walking distance to great shopping, fine dining, and cozy spots for elevated comfort food. What makes The Read House stand out is its rich history. Guests like Walt Disney, Elvis Presley, Prince, and Oprah have stayed here, and Room 311 has its own mysterious backstory tied to John Wilkes Booth’s brother. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable, upscale stay in Chattanooga.
