Places to stay in Marine City

This is the 2nd time I’ve been lucky enough to stay at Dave’s place while in Detroit for a concert & this is one of my absolute favorite BnBs of any city. The home is unique, full of history & fun- also really comfortable & easy to find. The neighborhood is safe and has the most amazing vibe. The backyard gate makes it easy to get to downtown Ferndale where you’ll find some amazing food (I had Anita’s Kitchen this time- the falafel & rice pudding were amazing), fun bars & the nicest people. The closed in balcony is my favorite part of this space- that and the vintage naughty wallpaper in the bathroom. Can’t wait to come back!

Marie’s place is super peaceful and filled with gorgeous natural light. Loved that the river was at the end of the street, really nice to walk in the evenings. The flat is spacious and comfortable for two people. The kitchen is well stocked and clean as was the bathroom. Central AC worked well when there were some hot days. Always found street parking just outside the house. Marie was easy to communicate with and asked a few times if I needed anything else which was appreciated, as well as gave a few suggestions of cafes nearby and things to do. Would happily stay here again if I’m back in Windsor!

Have stayed here 3 times. This time however we had to cut it short due to illness in my family. Was hoping to get some sort of credit for the next time we stay.

Great and super walkable location. There’s 3 excellent coffee houses within 4 blocks of the house. I didn’t count the restaurants within that distance. Amtrak train station is 5 mins walk.

Wow! Perfectly located. Close to everything. Very quiet and family friendly neighborhood. Extremely clean. Linens and towels were very nice and extra fluffy. Beds super comfy. We had everything we needed and so did our fur baby.

The kitchen was stocked with an abundance of snacks and beverages—all complimentary! It’s such a thoughtful touch that made us feel immediately at home. The vibe of this place is unmatched. If you’re looking for a stay that’s as comfortable as it is unforgettable, this is it. We can’t recommend it enough—absolutely 5 stars!

Lovely newly remodeled home near just about everything you could want in Detroit. Very homey, attractive design, and I have never had so many amenities and "extras." We did not need them, but they had all sorts of cleaners, tolietries, and items that would really save the day if someone forgot: sealed toothbrushes, contact solution, shower gel, etc. I have never had a airbnb give me so many towels. My family go through a lot of towels, and at other airbnbs, you are lucky if you can get more than 1 per person. Really makes it feel more like home that you can reach for dishtowels, washcloths, bath towels as you need them. Their tub is amazing, and they even left lavendar bath salts as a specialty nicety. My two adult children loved the granola bars they left. Really nice touches!! Loved that we could park right by our door. Thanks for such a super place to stay.

Wow, booked this spot last minute after reading about it online and it was as cool as it sounded. I wish we were staying longer. Loft vibe, great location with many dinner//drink options nearby. And the newly reopened Detroit Central Station across the street is a stunning building. Again, wish we had more time. A+.
