Beachfront vacation rentals in Maple Bay

So wonderful! Cosy, so well equipped and a lovely space to spend time. We wished we could stay for longer. Waffle mix made us feel nurtured. Hot tub on the deck and the lake to cold plunge meant we didn’t mind the rain. Highly recommended you won’t regret it!

The house is in an amazing location, with plenty of space for our family with 3 kids, and room to spare. Peter and Larry were super responsive and helpful and made sure we felt right at home. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

Gail's House is a beloved family getaway filled with quirky and interesting marine and nautical pictures and gadgets so lovingly collected. It's very comfortable and right on the dock and the views are amazing. Lucky for us, we were there in prawn season and our hosts gave us the best prawns we have ever had, fresh from the water. I want to return.

What a fantastic spot! Loved how private it was yet it was still close to the city and grocery stores if we needed to head out. Stunning views in the morning, regardless of the rain- it was so peaceful to be there! Gleb and Maria made it so easy for us to locate the RV and was always ready to answer any questions my husband and I had. Will definitely need to come back!

We had a fantastic stay - right on the ocean with beautiful sunrise and sunset views. The jacuzzi overlooking the water was enjoyed by all. The kitchen is spectacular with everything you could need and the living area is very nice. The full wall of glass windows and sliders with the wrap-around deck was great. The heated floors were an unexpected, but welcome surprise!

We loved our stay… once we found the place. Very well equipped and very clean. My first thought was what did I rent but by the time we left, we had enjoyed the fabulous views, the walkability, the wild life, the space to spread out and relax. The private deck was a bonus in spite of the weather and it was surprisingly quiet. When looking for the address, Look down… it is imbedded in the walkway, then head down the flight of stairs past the boat repair and find the blue gate…. Worth it!

What a gem of a property to stay at. The property is so well laid out and amenities are so close and convenient. The people at the resort were friendly and fun. The decor was so appealing and fit the vibe of the place so we'll. We enjoyed every second there. Thank you Cam & Carla!!

This was one of the best stays in our lives. The place, the views, the feelings was something out of ordinary. We loved the place from the very first moment we found it on the Internet and loved it even more when we arrived there. I would definitely recommend this place and would really like to go back there as soon as we plan another vacation.

Our recent stay at this amazing house, hosted by the absolutely wonderful Gramma Rikki, was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The location was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed breathtaking views and easy access to all the island's treasures. Whether we wanted to explore the vibrant town, hike scenic trails, or simply relax and soak in the tranquility, everything was conveniently within reach. But what truly made our experience exceptional was the incredible hospitality of Gramma Rikki. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their genuine kindness and attentiveness made us feel like valued guests, and we truly appreciated their warm and welcoming spirit. The house itself was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It was the perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring the island. We had a lovely time staying in Tammy’s home. It was really clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. She is very responsive and we were able to check in a bit early on our arrival. The bed is very comfortable and there is a lovely view of the water from the patio. We would definitely stay here again! The resort has a tennis court, lots of grills, one campfire pit, dock for crabbing or boats, beach for clamming. The property is very well kept. Thanks again Tammy for such a lovely stay!

Pat's place is awesome. We, a family of four - two adults and two kids (one is at teen age and another one is younger), spent a great long weekend there. Bright, cozy condo with great view from almost any window. It fits all of us, has a nice kitchen with everything you need for your stay. Heated pool with a hot tub, which we and kids enjoyed, just downstairs. The Bay is very good for paddle boarding. We did twice over our stay. If tide is low, you can reach a tiny island where you can find lots of purple and orange sea stars, crabs, and oysters. Ladysmith and Nanaimo suggest great dinner options. Nanaimo also has a nice walkable Marina merging into Maffeo Sutton park. If you like hikes, we tried Extension Ridge Trail hike near Nanaimo and can strongly recommend it to anyone. Malahat Tower is a fun place to visit, just one hour of driving from "Inn of the Sea" resort, we've been there, and were not disappointed. Will definitely stay again at Pat's place.

The view was absolutely amazing and the room was nice and cozy.

The unit was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was extremely comfortable for three people with a well-appointed kitchen, large dining area, private patio and a lovely view of the water. We enjoyed using the Inn of the Sea's pool, hot tub, and communal barbecues, and watching the sun come up with our coffees down on the dock. Thank you, Genevieve, for sharing your beautiful place with us - we'll be back!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Inn of the Sea! Debbie's suite was beautifully furnished and decorated, the bed and sofas were comfy, and we loved the loft style architecture of the townhouse with skylights and tall ceilings. The partial oceanview was also lovely. We enjoyed the amenities offered, like the communal hotub and BBQs (but a set of BBQ metal tongs or flipper weren't found within the suite unfortunately). The only minor con was noticing the outdoor spaces (main and smaller decks) weren't cleaned; the leaves and dirt should've been swept and the tabletop needed wiping too. Once my husband cleaned it, the deck was more inviting and enjoyable. Overall it was a nice place to stay, with lots to explore between Nanaimo and Ladysmith.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house. Views from the house are stunning and it’s in a quiet place, walkable to the beach. House was very clean and had all the amenities we needed! Very comfortable. Cameron is a very responsive and friendly host, we had a pretty late check out!

We’re from Vancouver, where life is always busy, and we were really looking for a peaceful escape. Mason’s house turned out to be the perfect getaway. The moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking view—right on the beach, surrounded by nature, with a spacious property and peaceful, respectful neighbors. The house itself is spotless, beautifully maintained, and feels like new. It’s fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, making it feel like a true home away from home. The two main bedrooms each have a king-size bed with incredibly comfortable memory foam mattresses—so relaxing. The third bedroom has a cozy bunk bed, perfect for smaller kids. The town is quiet and charming, with such friendly and welcoming people. It has a calm, laid-back vibe that makes you instantly feel at ease. There are two restaurants nearby and a well-stocked grocery store, Nesters, just a short drive away. We left feeling rested and grateful. Highly recommended to visit .

Beautiful place and view was amazing. Sadly, We didn’t get to sit out on the beautiful deck because of the rain. Well appointed kitchen. Joyce was very quick to get back to us on any inquiries and if we needed anything. They even made us fish and chips one night which were excellent.

Loved the view of the ocean from the various decks. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with utensils , nice touch with the comfort mat in front of kitchen sink. Over all we were extremely pleased with our week stay. Paul was most helpful anytime I reached out to him. We hope to return, in the future, to this home on the sea.

Wonderful place for a big group to stay. 4 rooms with queen beds, each room has its own bathroom, and there’s even a common bathroom in the common area. Very clean and nice place.

The house is just like the pictures. It’s very well kept. The kitchen has every thing a chefs kitchen is supposed to have. We were there in winter so the heat was important for us. The house is well heated. Washer dryer works well. This office is nice and cozy. The private dock is nice for fishing and crabbing. Thomas the host was very responsive and took care of minor issues promptly. I would definitely like to be back there.

On the water, literally! A wonderful seaside home that is very comfortable with wonderful ocean views from the bedrooms as well as from the livingroom fireplace. Danielle was a wonderful host and responded very quickly. We enjoyed Danielle's home so much, we booked for a second week! Thx Danielle.

Bernadette was one of the highlights of our stay -- she and her partner Mark were warm and welcoming right from the start. Same goes for their lovely dog Ruby, and their guest dog Skip. If you are unfamiliar with the region, be sure to review the travel instructions carefully, and don't let your phone run out of battery like I did. The helpful text pre-check about coming down the driveway was great because it was all I remembered before losing battery. The unit itself was immaculate and has magical views of forest and river. In addition to a comfy cozy bed, there is a pullout couch bed which was great. The kitchen had the basics, and in addition had some basic seasonings, which is always a bonus. Bernadette showed us around the unit, showed us around the property, explained some of their story and showed us how to use the sauna, and then left us to our own devices. Perfection! I will definitely be staying here again given the opportunity, it's a great place for a quiet retreat.
