Family-friendly vacation rentals in Manistee

We had a great 2 days at the Lochen House. Check in was easy, everything was clean. It was a bit smaller than expected, but not an issue for 2 people. We loved the large stone fireplace, hot tub, and the snow dome down by the lake. There was a ton of snow before our arrival and the path to the lake was very deep with snow- it would have been nice to have that shoveled, but not a huge deal. My only complaint was that we didn’t have any gas in the grill to cook our delicious steaks on. I wasn’t sure if that was provided in the winter or not. The kitchen was adequate with utensils and pans, but make sure to bring everything you need to cook. We look forward to return in the future in a different season to enjoy the lake!

Over the top amazing place to stay. Beautiful, comfortable and adorable! Seth and Kelsey were outstanding hosts and my husband and I were so impressed, these two should give lessons on how to be the perfect hosts!!! The food was amazing and they also slipped in a little birthday surprise for me. The property was so well maintained and the hot tub and fire pit were a welcome surprise and we enjoyed meeting other guests fixing s’mores!! I forgot to sign the guest book so will be back soon!!

Wonderful place to stay, this place had everything and worked great for our bachelorette party group of 14! Everything was clean and neat, easy to find a use, and Barb was very helpful with any question we had! Traverse city was an easy 20 minute drive. The farm animals were fun to have around as well! We loved it and highly recommended this place!

Spent the weekend here for my wife's birthday with some friends. Great location for winery tours/local food, and everything you would need inside and out. Roger is a very responsive host and willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay as welcoming as possible. Plenty of room inside the house for sleeping for 3 adult couples, could've even fit a 4th no problem in the loft. Home was spacious and the screened in porch is a great hangout spot overlooking the lake.

I had an excellent experience staying here. The space was clean, cozy, and exactly as described in the listing. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would like to come back in the summer! Overall, I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

Maria’s place is an absolute gem! We stayed three nights over NYE and it was exactly what we needed! It is a gorgeous cabin with thoughtful touches … very peaceful yet close enough to anything you would need. Although, it’s very well appointed so quite easy to just stay in and get cozy by the fire. We drove to Sleeping Bear Dunes area which was not too far and found the drive to be very beautiful! The best part was the snow we woke up to New Year’s Day … just magical and our dogs loved it. 10/10 recommend!

Lee’s place is awesome location if you’re looking to stay in northern Michigan. Lots to do within walking distance to Traverse City but also very centrally located to other towns and things you’ll want to do/see in the area. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay here! Ken and Rhonda were the perfect hosts, they were very flexible with check in and check out times and available to us during our stay. The stay is in a renovated garage next to their house, but we felt like we had lots of privacy and the setting with the pond and lots of land is wonderful. Everything seemed new, clean, and comfy, with lots of games that our kid loved. We loved the location, it felt remote but was also very convenient to everything we like to do in the area!

This was a great place to stay! We loved the location and the fenced in yard made bringing our dogs with us even better. My husband and I had a great time spending New Years playing pool in the basement. The location was so convenient to town but so quiet and private- we loved watching all of the deer outside. Just a small hiccup with check-in, as the key was not where the host had indicated, but it ended up working out after a while.

The tiny house was just wonderful. Lisa has put into lots of considerations in building this small but well equipped space. We brought our dog and cat, who were warmly welcomed by Lisa. The house was clean, organized, and cute. All of us had a great time spending a couple of nights there. Would definitely come back.

Our small family with a baby stayed here with our friends for two days & we all couldn’t have asked for a better vacation spot! Tom’s place is perfect to have loads of fun & a super comfortable stay. Snow was a bonus for us because the frozen lake and backdrop were magnificent and picture perfect! All listed amenities were available & full kitchen was fully equipped with whatever we needed to cook & enjoy home-cooked meals! Tom was pro-active, very responsive and so helpful! Definitely recommending this spot to everyone :)

We had a wonderful weekend and totally enjoyed the Condo. It was clean, organized and we felt right at home. We most definitely would stay there again. It was perfect!! Thank you so much for allowing us to rent from you. It was nice to have a home, instead of just hotel rooms. Excellent experience.

We loved the idea of converting an old motel into a more comfortable and spacious place right across from the beach. The bed was comfortable, "living" room space with table, microwave and fridge were just what we needed, and folks we met were very friendly. We'd stay here again!

Our family enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable with all the amenities, and decorated beautifully for the holidays. Our host Marc was very welcoming. We would happily stay here again if our group size and timing work out!

We loved the location and outside space at the house! The kids really enjoyed the pool and the beach area too! It was a great getaway to end the summer.

We loved our time in the home in Onekama. The space was perfect for our group. The pool was absolutely beautiful. It was a perfect location to get to Lake Michigan and golf.

When going skiing, leave ski's in vehicle overnight. Since room is on 3rd floor and the room isn’t that large . But it's great for ski in and ski out to stay

We’ve been to different cabin but this one stand out the most, maybe because we pay more and it’s worth it. We enjoyed our stay, looking forward to more cabin days with friends that became family.we love the jacuzzi and fireplace .

Mary was the perfect host. Her place was clean, spacious, and so comfortable. Great directions once in town, and awesome recommendations in her table side book with instructions. All amenities and just beautiful decorated . COZY !! Highly recommend Fish Town . Hop Lot brewery and the Cove were outstanding for dinner. Friendly people !! Ugly pies was a little farm stand with the Best homemade pies and apples. Hopefully we can come up again next year. We will definitely stay at Marys place !!! Thank you again, Laura
