Yvette was a great host, particularly with the flexibility she showed with check in. My bus got in late and she stayed up late to meet me and gave good instructions. Probably the cleanest AirBnB I have stayed in the city. Great restaurants nearby and close to Subway and Central Park. Really worth the value.

I love staying in unique Airbnbs when I come to NYC for work and this was definitely a treat. It was very much out of a movie and times gone by and yet so reasonably priced, comfortable and easy to access. Walk or ride to Columbia easily. LOTS of walkable shops and restaurants and easy access to trains. Don’t stay if you’re not keen on sharing a bathroom (I didn’t mind and it was never a problem) but note there’s only one shower (the floor I stayed on had just a bathtub) but it’s easy to get to either bathroom if one is occupied. There is a smell in the air that is perhaps the age of the home showing itself but worth mentioning because it might be off putting if you are sensitive to fragrances or other odors but I want to stress that it was VERY clean and nothing I co couldn’t fix in my own room with essential oils. GREAT communication and flexibility on Rene’s part.

I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended it a few extra days. My host was warm and welcoming, the apartment felt like a home away from home. The privacy, the cleanliness, the feel of a safe environment, And the fact that I knew that I can come and go without inconveniencing my host was a plus. I would definitely stay again. Had a great stay at Lissett's place. The accommodation easy to find down a quiet suburban street and simple to get into. The property was clean & warm, which was great given the cold weather. Only a small stroll down the street to some amazing views of Manhattan which really glows at night. Easy to jump on the bus down to NYC (159, 156, 128) though this often takes 30-40 minutes depending on the time of day. Lissett was also very responsive to any questions or queries we had, and offered us a slightly later checkout which was a nice finishing touch.

We were Tiffany's first guests and her place did not disappoint! Close to the airport and highway and lots of stores and restaurants nearby within walking distance or driving. Tiffany was very kind and communicative. Being that we were her first guests the listing wasn't 100% ready but we had everything we needed. I would stay again!

The apartment is comfortable and spacious, comfy bed, nice bathroom and shower, and matched the listed photos/description accurately. Street parking was ample (for Brooklyn). The hosts allowed us to check in a bit early which we greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends!

Great location walking distance to delis and there’s a lot in the area. Just beware of the steep staircase to and from the apartment door.

The basement studio apartment was tidy and looked just like the photos. We could hear people walking upstairs but otherwise, they were quiet. HVAC was running in the basement, but the noise was constant, so it functioned like white noise and wasn't annoying. Gleice was extremely easy to contact and she made sure we'd gotten inside with no problems and didn't need any thing. One important thing to note about the apartment: the description mentions some of the ceiling heights being low, but the measurements are off. I'm 5'6" and the bathroom ceiling and the ceiling leading into the bathroom was 8" above my head (yes, I measured), with the shower nozzle just above my head. The business side of the kitchen (oven, sink) was 1" above my head. My husband's head (he's 5'7") scraped the kitchen ceiling. If you're taller than 5'6", you won't be able to use one side of the kitchen and if you're 6' foot, you'll be very uncomfortable in the bathroom and won't be able to shower without squatting.
