Guesthouse vacation rentals in Manhattan

The unit was clean and had everything we needed for a week stay. Host was very friendly and responsive. My wife and I just love the neighborhood.

I love staying in unique Airbnbs when I come to NYC for work and this was definitely a treat. It was very much out of a movie and times gone by and yet so reasonably priced, comfortable and easy to access. Walk or ride to Columbia easily. LOTS of walkable shops and restaurants and easy access to trains. Don’t stay if you’re not keen on sharing a bathroom (I didn’t mind and it was never a problem) but note there’s only one shower (the floor I stayed on had just a bathtub) but it’s easy to get to either bathroom if one is occupied. There is a smell in the air that is perhaps the age of the home showing itself but worth mentioning because it might be off putting if you are sensitive to fragrances or other odors but I want to stress that it was VERY clean and nothing I co couldn’t fix in my own room with essential oils. GREAT communication and flexibility on Rene’s part.

Bridget’s house was a good find for our extended family of six as we visited my daughter at college. It was a convenient location with plenty of sleeping options, and was clean and spacious. Some older reviews mention one bathroom, but it now has two and that worked well for us. I didn’t pick up on the fact that it doesn’t have a living room, so adding this in here for others. It does have a kitchen table that can easily seat six, and a comfy sun porch. There are TVs in every bedroom. While I would rate this very highly overall, I do want to mention that the smell of cigarette smoke did rise up to the apartment our first evening, and as someone who is fairly sensitive to that, made me feel nauseous. We used the fans on the A/C’s to blow the smell out and didn’t really notice it the rest of our stay. Our hosts were in every other way friendly and responsive and I would recommend this for group stays for sure.

We came to Long Island and stayed at Lisa’s AirBnb for 3 nights. Beautiful and quiet place and we would stay here again if we are in the area. Very responsive to messages.

Great for the price, clean and huge room. Not parking friendly tho, you need to check upper blocks to score parking.

This apartment was perfect for the two of us. Close walking distance to people we were visiting, close to the Central Avenue restaurants. Much better than a hotel room.

Very accommodating to our check-in needs, always responsive and the best communication. 10/10 would stay again. Pictures of the space do not do it justice. Quiet compared to staying in City. Safe neighborhood and easy 5min walk to public transport.

This Airbnb was amazing. The views were incredible and the apartment was exactly as pictured. The 59th st N/R subway station was a 5 minute walk away. This station is super straightforward if you’re unfamiliar with the subway system. It was great to just leave my car in the reserved parking spot and take the train into Manhattan. We ran into minimal traffic coming through Staten Island and crossing the Verrazano bridge. The host was responsive and very helpful, and George the doorman was very welcoming. This place had everything we were looking for and we hope to stay here again in the future.

Andrew’s place was fantastic! Clear instructions made for an easy check-in. The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We felt safe coming and going throughout our visit. When we encountered a glitch in the WiFi we got a very quick response and were able to immediately connect the problem. Would absolutely recommend Andrew’s place to anyone staying in Bushwick!!

Gleice was a lovely host and the home was exactly as described!

Living in Shine’s house was definitely a great experience, the room was big and clean with nice decorations. And Shine was very sweet and helpful, letting me check in early when she knew I was in trouble , and she even asked if I need to be pick up, I hope I can stay in her house again on my next trip!

Elizabeth’s place was very roomy and comfortable. The bed comfortable and the bathroom clean with great hot shower. Easy walk to the subway. The area was a little daunting at first impression but it was good. Read the book for information re restaurants etc.

I had a wonderful stay at Ania’s place! The studio was cozy, clean, and had everything I needed. The neighborhood is beautiful and peaceful. Ania is an amazing host—so chill, friendly, and always ready to help. I truly enjoyed my time here and would love to stay again!
