Nathan's Lodge Kemp Bay - Guest house

RobertRating, 5 stars34 months ago
Nathan’s was great. Spent 3 days there while diy bonefishing. Clean and well maintained. Hooked me up with a rental car that fit my needs perfectly. Freeman was a great host with breakfast and coffee in the morning and the cook in the evenings was great as well . Both were a great source of local info.
A serene bedroom with two spacious queen beds, accented by wooden furnishings. Natural light enters through sliding glass doors that lead to a beach view. A comfortable chair and lamp enhance the cozy layout, while the warm wood paneling adds a touch of elegance.

Paradise Ranch Cottages (4 adults)

Can’t say enough good things about Cardinal, Tamesha, and the people of Andros. I challenge you to find more hospitable people. Tamesha is an excellent cook and the house is very nice. The community on Andros is second to none, if you have any questions, anyone is willing to answer or sit down and just chat. Ask where to go fishing! The ‘Tropical Gas Station’ is an excellent spot to grab lunch, ‘The Red Door’ has good food and a nice patio, and Chukka’s is a local liquor store that is worth stopping by and chatting with some of the folks there. I would highly recommend going out with a guide who will pick you up at the dock that is at the house. Tamesha and other locals helped set this up and it was an excellent experience. There is opportunity outside of bonefishing the flats too. If you want to dive with sharks or go spearfishing, Cardinal will point you in the right direction. Andros is like no place on earth. Get there, slow down, and enjoy your time with these fine folks.
A charming two-story home is nestled among tall coconut trees, showcasing a vibrant exterior. The ground-level features large windows and a welcoming entry. The surrounding sandy area is dotted with vegetation, contributing to the serene tropical atmosphere.

Coconut Beach, Congo Town, Andros

KristinaRating, 5 stars15 months ago
Jacquie's place was a great location. It is about a mile from Congotown airport. The home is a short, shaded, sandy walk from the beach. Beautiful hammock, picnic tables, and chairs under the palms. The beach has clear water, a reef to snorkel, lots of shells, and wildlife. The home was adequate to our needs with a comfortable queen bed and four singles, plus two full bathrooms. The water pressure was fine for island life, but not enough for two showers at once. The kitchen had everything we needed: stove, oven, toaster oven, coffee pot, microwave, fridge, and freezer. The community was all very friendly! We enjoyed our time in conversation with the locals and hanging out with the many puppies and dogs who loved our kids. We ate at AAA Restaurant, which is walking distance from the home, and it was exceptional. Overall, we loved our stay. Just know it will be an authentic and local experience. The grocery stores and restaurants might be sparce if the boat hasn't arrived yet.

High Rock Oasis - The PERFECT getaway!

What an absolute pleasure it was to stay with Ruth and Tracy, the room was perfect and the company was even better. Ruth and Tracy are two of the most genuinely nice people you will ever encounter, greatly respected pillars of the community, entrepreneurs and philanthropists. On our first day we booked a fishing trip on Tracy’s boat, what an experience, one that will be fondly remembered for a lifetime. The waters of Andros are breathtaking and abundant with life. We caught enough fish to feed us all for a couple of days, Ruth’s fried fish and Tracy’s stew fish and conch salad were world class. I can’t wait to return, it will be like going to visit family…

Mangrove Cay Sea View Villas

This is a wonderful cabin for those who want a get away vacation, the experience of real Bahamian culture and access to the flats. Its a perfect place for the DIY fly fisher or eco tourist. Absolutely gorgeous setting and terrific host. Robert met us at the airport and took us to our hotel in Nassau-picked us up the next morning, showed us city highlights and took us grocery shopping before taking us back to airport for flight to Mangrove. He helped arrange a fishing guide and car rental and checked on us during the week. We felt safe and welcome on the island. Bring half the clothes you think you need and and pack some snacks and food instead. Pick up fruits , vegs, meats in Nassau. Pack a soft-sided cooler for food transport. Bring cash for everything on Mangrove(food, gas, car rental, guides). Bone fishing was fantastic as was walking the flats, and kayaking . The people are gracious and friendly. The cabin is clean and comfortable. We can't wait to come back. Loved it!
A charming blue cottage features a welcoming front porch with railings. A wooden pathway leads through vibrant greenery and colorful flowers to the entrance. Symmetrical windows frame the door, and potted plants add a natural element to the exterior.

Paradise Ranch Cottage (2 adults)

CharlesRating, 5 stars19 months ago
Our stay at Paradise Ranch exceeded our expectations by miles! We arrived in fresh creek and conveniently Tamesha had the Jeep waiting for us at the airport. After a 30 minutes drive we arrived at the cottage and where greeted with immense hospitality. The cottage is full of amenities inside and out, washer, dryer, water heater, generator, bikes, kayaks, snorkel gear and so much more. Andro’s is as remote as it gets and yet Tamesha made sure we were as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately the main power plant on North Andro’s burnt down a week before we arrived and it was hard to find places to eat due to power outages. Tamesha made sure we didn’t go hungry and cooked us dinner everyday (Best cook on the island) ! The generator kept the power running in the cottage and didn’t stop once. Overall we had an amazing getaway and would recommend Paradise Ranch Cottage to anyone looking for a getaway from reality!
