Great location surrounded by nature. Lots of space to spread out - there was a big family discussion on who got each bedroom as they were all awesome!! Excellent base to explore New Plymouth and Taranaki.

This is a home set up for families with children. Lots of inside and outside toys for kids to play with and locks on kitchen cupboards and draws. Great location, close to supermarkets and had all the amenities needed for our stay. Hosts were quick to respond and very easy to deal with.

The house was spacious and worked well for the seven of us including small children. We particularly enjoyed the easy access to the outdoor space. It was about 10 minutes drive from the CBD but it was a straightforward drive and there's a supermarket quite close.

This is an amazing place to stay. The house has everything you'd want (all kitchen utensils, games and toys for all ages, a ton of childrens books, spa, trampoline, etc). It's 5min walk from playground, beach and food places and good located to go to New Plymouth or anywhere around the mountain within an hour. The pictures looked good but we were positively surprised to see the place and all the little details at our arrival.

A beautiful scandi-inspired interior designed to make you feel at home while enjoying a luxurious stay. All the facilities you need (including washer though no microwave) and tons of extras including heaps of condiments, milk, fresh eggs, coffee pods, children's books, and games. Beds were very comfortable, great water pressure in the showers, only a minutes walk to the beach, and complete seclusion. Very comfortable indoor and outdoor seating to gather or laze on. Mette was very responsive and it is clear, she and Shane want you to have a relaxing and carefree stay. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay here at ecoescape. The place feels cosy with a beautiful view of Mt Taranaki. Check in was efficient. And the glowworms were a nice addition to it. Will recommend it to other people.

Really enjoyed our stay! All the little touches made such a difference and we loved the outdoor area, perfect for a summer stay to explore the area. Would happily stay again when back in the area - thank you!

Such a serene and gorgeous little cabin. The hosts attention to detail with both the presentation and providing some many creature comforts ensured we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Hosts were perfectly clear with instructions for check in and use of the amenities. Couldn’t recommend Herons Nest enough. Thank you again!

The Wish House Retreat exceeded our expectations. The area was so beautiful - surrounded by beautiful farmland, valleys, trees and bush. The cabin was curated so well, everything felt specially chosen to be in there. The outdoor area with the chairs, fire pit and bath made our night so special. We loved the walk to the wishing tree and had a lovely, peaceful afternoon. Shelley also made us a loaf of bread which was such a thoughtful touch. The horses were also a highlight of our stay! We couldn’t recommend this place enough - we will certainly be back. Shelley was such a great, responsive and kind host ☺️

A beautifully presented Cosy Cabin. A lovely space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Immaculate inside and loads of special touches enhancing the relaxed vibe inside. Great shower, coffee machine, tv, outdoor spa, comfy bed, lovely big leather couch, aromatherapy oils to burn. Plenty of beautiful pieces to admire inside. Amanda was a great host and always very contactable, helpful and quick to respond. Would visit again!! 🙌
