Really great place, highly recommended. The cabin is very cute with everything you need and the setting is lovely. Very quiet and relaxing. The garden is beautiful and there are lots of birds. I really enjoyed catching the afternoon sun on the verandah! Thanks Ngaire for a fantastic stay.

Gorgeous place with stunning views!! Everything is as described if not better then you could imagine!! Jacquie is an amazing host and really goes the extra mile to appease guest, checking in through out to ensure everything went smoothly. Would highly recommend I travelling to mahia!!

A Perfect Stay with Wonderful Hosts! Danelle and Keith were fantastic hosts, and their place in Mahia was absolutely perfect! The home was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, making our stay super comfortable. The location was great—close to the beach and a perfect spot to unwind. Danelle and Keith were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed. We truly enjoyed our time here and would love to return. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Mahia!

Really cosy and rustic with heaps of character. We were nice and warm even in late April with the heater and quality bedding. Tony was a super friendly, knowledgeable and generous host, we were tucked away with plenty of privacy and so close to the beach and Māhia amenities. Was the perfect spot for a couple looking to do some fishing and sightseeing!

This home is a generous country home with a magic view. Equipped with everything you need, it’s was easy to cook and feel at home. we found peace in the garden and action at the close by beaches. Elizabeth’s land included a beach which was stunning, a rare treat to wander a private beach. We loved our stay, we’ll be back.

The home was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the very short walk to the beach, the view was incredible and the neighborhood was outstanding. Annette was easy to communicate with and she responded quickly to any questions. I would definitely stay at this home again when I return to New Zealand.

This was our second visit to Aimee’s house. The house is perfect for needs (2 parents and their grown children). We like the isolation of the house and proximity to great beaches. Aimee is the best host and is always responsive to the smallest requests. I hope to return again.

We had the most amazing stay. A peaceful beach retreat with everything we needed and more. The location was perfect and very quiet, with the beach just around the corner. The home was very nice. spacious and clean. Although the hot water tended to have a mind of its own, we managed to have a hot shower. We all admired the art around the home. Very warm home and lots of sun. Definitely worth the money just a pity the tax pushes the price into the not worth it price range. The host is amazing. Would definitely stay again.

The stay at this Mahia beach house was fantastic. Great location, close to a lovely beach and even lovely neighbours. The house had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming and had fantastic communication with me. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend to anyone. Would love to return again.

Great beach pad, clean and quiet and everything we needed to cook. A huge house for x3 people and we loved it. The owner let us book for one night too which we appreciated as we were at a tangi.

The rooms were perfect mini oasis. When we arrived it was late at night but the lights were on and it was warm and cozy, everyone raves about the size of the spaces. In the morning we were greeted with perfect harbour views, and a few friendly local faces.

Such an awesome spot! Great parking, lots of room for the boat, epic diving and fishing. Neil’s place has everything you need! Awesome host and super helpful.

Thankyou for having us Jeff. Mahunga beach is absolutely fabulous where we spent most of our time. We had fun playing cricket in the large front yard & the kitchen was great to cook in. Highly recommend this place for large family trips as there is lots of beds & rooms for everyone’s comfort & privacy. Thankyou for hosting myself & my bridesmaids for my wedding. Looking forward to coming back next time!

We really enjoyed our stay at Jessicas lovely farm cottage. The farm was incredibly peaceful with beautiful views of the rolling farm hills. We found it really relaxing and quiet. A great spot to unwind. The cottage had everything we needed, and the fresh eggs provided by Jessica were a thoughtful and much appreciated touch. Communication with Jessica was excellent. We’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a private, peaceful place to relax and enjoy the countryside.
