Beautiful, laid back country setting!We felt like we were visiting the mushroom. We were greeted by a particularly beautifully prepared fragrant warm ball that the hostess had decorated with flowers. The hosts smoke very delicious carp themselves,I suggest you order in advance and enjoy the hospitality of the Latgale hosts! For children outside, various activities,volleyball, discgolf,mini golf and in summer can definitely swim in the pond by the sauna. Definitely would love to come back here again and stay longer.

Janis is a one of a kind person, that makes this world to a better place! Very friendly, professional and a warm heart. We booked the house for our artistic residency with 14 musicians and couldn’t have had a better place to be! The main living room also functions as a studio / rehearsal space with lots of equipment and quite a good sound for recording. Janis answered us all possible questions before our stay and even rented us equipment as well as tuned two pianos. If you need a place to be as a musician, that’s it! The house is surrounded by beautiful nature and no neighbours around. The place was very clean and has a wonderful charm to it. Janis came for check in and explained us everything we needed to know. We also invited him and his friend to play music with us and stay together at our last night at the campfire. 100% recommended, weather you’re a musician or just need some time off in the nature. Will definitely be back next year again!

We had a pleasant stay. The house is lovely, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend it!

It was marvelous weekend in this place. Beautiful and picturesque surround. Calm and quiet. There are another house for rent nearby so maybe in bad if neighbors will be loud you can feel lack of privacy but not in our case. Very well equipped you can find what ever you may need in village house: well made grill with seat spot around, traditional wood sauna + natural pool nearby. Super village wibe. Host was super friendly, responsive and proactive. We had no any issue with accommodation and house usage. The only small downsides: house placed in real wilderness, so not the best gravel road as the only way to reach the house. Another side effect of that: no any shops 10+km around so consider to bring all food and drinks with yourself including fresh water. Would be glad to return again.

It is a beautiful cabin with a unique location. You are in the middle of untouched nature and secluded from any everyday stress. The pictures don't do justice to the cabin. It's even more beautiful. Relaxation vacation is combined with an off-grid experience, which in combination results in a beautiful Latvian adventure. Rasa is a wonderful host and very helpful.
