Vacation rentals in Madison County

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Ironton area. Lance's place was very peaceful. The house was very clean. Landscaping around the premises was very nice. I even spent time in the hammock! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The house and setting was perfect after visiting the different sites in the area. We went to Pilot Knob Battle Site and Museum, Elephant Rocks, Sam A. Baker State Park, and Castor Rock Shut-Ins. I saw a bald eagle flying over the river. A turtle made a visitation at the front door. Wasps had built a nest behind the shutters but Lance had left wasp spray. That saved the day! We highly recommend this peaceful retreat.

Amazing little cabin on the St. Francis River! We enjoyed our little NYE winter getaway. The hot tub made the winter all the more enjoyable and relaxing. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was stocked w everything we needed to cook various meals. Misty was very friendly and easy to communicate with. We would love to come back again when the weather is warmer out!

Wonderful, small cottage. Clean and just perfect for our needs. If you want a country getaway with lots of privacy, this is the place for you.

This place was amazing! The town is quiet with great restaurant options. We loved The Station (coffeehouse) on site, and The Depot, just down the road. The space around the yurt and inside it was very accommodating. There’s heat in the winter and air in the summer inside. Also fans, a dehumidifier, and another small space heater just in case. Lydia provides everything you need for your stay from dishwashing liquid to soap, shampoo, and fresh towels! Even an iron skillet and wood for the fire pit. The bath house was amazing, newly built and VERY clean. She’s building more yurts on site which is awesome. The cabins and the Timberwolf campers look so cozy as well! Check out Fredericktown and check-in to Sawyer’s Landing - it’s totally worth it!!!!

Emily’s lake house was very scenic, inviting, warm , and had a very tranquil vibe . Emily’s home was very clean & easy to get inside . Bed was very comfortable and snacks and coffee were complimentary. I also love that this home also has a washer and dryer as an option for guests to wash their clothes. Every room had a window with a view of the lake which was really nice . In one of the bedrooms; Emily provided information of restaurants & Missouri’s popular state parks to visit which I was thrilled to visit Taum Sauk Mountain State park to check out the water falls which was amazing to see! My only disappointment was that I should have booked a few more days at this lake house! I’ll definitely be back soon!

Stayed at The Rock House over the holidays and couldn’t have asked or paid for a better stay. Beautiful farm home furnished with everything you need, gorgeous views of the hills of Southeast Missouri, within walking distance of Castor River and plenty of land to walk with the dogs and family. Exceeded expectations and would recommend to anyone wanting to get away to the beauty of rural Missouri.

Great place and great host

From the time I saw the description of this place, I knew this was the place for our family to enjoy the eclipse. The reality was even better than described. Scenic and private.. home away from home. Loved it and Monica was the perfect host! Thanks for everything!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming cabin on the Little Francis River in Fredericktown, MO. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the peaceful, serene surroundings. The cabin itself was cozy and well-appointed, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The river setting was perfect for unwinding or just sitting by the water enjoying the natural beauty. The cabin's interior was comfortable and inviting, with rustic decor that added to the charm. The kitchen had all the essentials. If you're looking for a quiet, nature-filled retreat with access to outdoor activities and beautiful scenery, this is the perfect spot. I highly recommend it and would definitely return!

We loved our stay at Wes and Paula’s farm! It was great to disconnect and spend time together. There is no cable, internet, or phone service at the farm but we loved that aspect of getting to really disconnect and spend quality time together. Wes was so knowledgeable and great spending time answering any questions we had. We LOVED getting to know the alpacas and being able to watch them outside the window. There are some great restaurants about 30 min away and the locals were all so friendly with great recommendations over the holiday! I would definitely recommend his place and hope to visit again in the future!

The view from this place is no joke. What a sweet little cottage on a little piece of heaven!

We really enjoyed staying in the home. We kept finding Dog amenities and the cover on the back door allowed our dogs to come in and out without losing heat. The neighborhood was peaceful, and we felt at home. If back in the area, we would love to stay again.
