Great place to be close the university quiet neighborhood

Mark & Donna were great hosts! The home was beautiful and perfect for our stay. My father passed away and we were in need of an affordable nicer option and this was perfect! They kindly offered a bereavement discount, which was so appreciated. They had quick communication & very friendly conversations. We were not able to stay the second night I booked because of terrible weather and needing to try to beat the snow storm. I had let them know ahead of time and they have a little refund back since we weren't about to stay and that was greatly appreciated. It's been expensive and stressful dealing with my Father passing away and they made it an easier process.

Great house in a prime location really close to downtown. The space was clean and we appreciated the laundry and TV streaming services. You can hear train horns throughout the day but it didn’t bother us and stopped at night. Highly recommend!

Quiet clean place with every amenity you could need and near everything to do in town, definitely worth the price.

We had a great time here for Christmas with the family from 4 different states. The place is accurately described as historic which comes with a few quirks. Nothing difficult but spacing is different than modern houses. We are a tall family and appreciated the tall celilings and showers. Short toilet in master suite was a surprise though. As someone else said, there are hot and cold spots here, we recommend you bring a sweater in winter. Kitchen was pleasant but somewhat sparsely stocked for a large group. Small dining table and stools combined with seating at the counter was adequate for our needs. We wished there was a dishwasher. The grill plus table and chairs in the backyard was really nice but we didn't use it much because it was winter. Parking is very tight. Only room for one full size vehicle in the driveway. The hosts were responsive and helpful during our stay. We would absolutely again.

I like the privacy and peaceful surroundings. Lacy is very helpful and they have a great dog. I would stay there any time I was in Emporia. The place was very well stocked and I felt at home

Our daughter lives in Emporia. We celebrate our family Christmas at her house but there isn’t room for all of us to stay with her. This is our second time to stay at this property. It was exactly what we needed for the four of us and the price was great. We will likely try to stay here again next year.

The hosts were so very kind and generous to offer us extra days when we were stranded by the ice and snow. This is unusual in today’s world,so thank you for your above and beyond hospitality. The place is absolutely perfect and very new and modern, better than we had imagined. We will definitely be checking here first when we’re in Emporia next. From the moment you walk in the door, you can tell that Jolene's rental is handled with a ton of consideration and care. I stayed for 10 nights with my partner and three dogs. The rental is spacious and cozy, very tidy and EXTREMELY well stocked. The yard area is massive with a simple green space, park, down the block. I travel to Emporia regularly to see family and will be checking Jolene's rental availability FIRST from here on out! Truly an oasis and a home away from home.
