Vacation home rentals in Lugano

Beautiful, great place. The house is very quiet, clean, and the beds are comfortable. Marzia is very lovely even though we arrived quite late at night, she came and greeted us at the house. She is always responsive and will make sure that we arrived at the house safely .The apartment has two terraces with beautiful view. One of the best things is we can have breakfast at the nearby little Cozy Café call Nene. Everything there is wonderful. However, I think it’s good to have a car and it would be quite challenging to walk down to the town. There is some stairs to the apartment but we managed to bring our luggage there.

Even though we weren't so lucky with the weather, we enjoyed this beautiful place for 2 nights very much. Everything you need to spend a few nice days on this small island. The only thing we wouldn't do again is have breakfast at the recommended restaurant Delfino. There were no prices on the breakfast menu and we were all the more surprised by the insanely high prices for the few small things we had ordered when we got the bill. Better to bring something yourself and prepare it in the beautiful kitchen and enjoy it with fantastic views of the lake 😉

We had an amazing stay at Marco’s super stylish apartment. The location is so so central like all the best restaurants are a five minute walk. Orrido which is a natural gorge is the top tourist attraction at Lake Como and that is also a five minute walk!

Marianna has a beautiful place and is a wonderful host. The views from the balcony are breathtaking! Marianna was helpful in how to find her address, she came to meet us at the bus stop and told us where to get off. Through out our stay she struck the balance of being available to help but without being intrusive. Lezzeno is a lovely base from which to explore the towns up and down the lake, it’s easy to travel by bus or boat to various villages like Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna. These places can be packed with tourists so it’s nice to come home to Lezzeno at the end of a day, which is much quieter and less ‘touristy’, a much more authentic feeling town where locals live. Lezzeno also has some fantastic places to eat. Osteria Il Governo 1801 is especially good and Crotto dei Pescatori is also great. I would absolutely recommend this place to stay from which to see all that Lake Como has to offer!

A real insider tip! The Garden Apartment of Villa Lucini 1886 is a small paradise – stylishly furnished, wonderfully quiet and with a garden where you immediately forget the time. Perfect for relaxing, but also ideally located for excursions: Lake Como is quickly accessible, and even Milan is only a good hour away. The hosts are incredibly warm – you immediately feel that a lot of love and attention to detail is put into this place. I would have liked to have stayed a few more days. Definitely a place to come back to! 🌿

We loved our stay at The Big House! The bus stop being just at the top of the stairs was very helpful (though make sure to know when the last bus runs!). The rooms were clean and the kitchen was fully equipped, and the view of the lake from the balcony was the cherry on top! The only thing to mention is that the steps down to the Airbnb can be quite dark once the sun sets and there is no extra lighting, so this can be a little daunting if coming back during the evening. Kathi and her husband were super friendly and helpful, even bringing a gift for my birthday celebration which was such a surprise! We look forward to our next stay at The Big House! Thank you!!

Beautiful house and inside, strong recommendation

The place was spotless. The view is just splendid!

Emilio and his daughter provided quick, clear, and truly sincere help, recommendations, advice, and help with our aging parents. They greeted us with great appreciation and warmth. We love Limonta, as it’s close to Bellagio without the business of tourists. The views from every window were breathtaking and each photo we took, a bit of a disappointment since we couldn’t really capture the beauty. It is best to have a car if you rent here. Parking is free. All of the amenities were as listed. Wonderful having 2 cucini, 2 lavatrici for 5 people. Exceptionally clean, spacious, very pretty, and windows with screens. Angelica immediately sent us ferry schedules for trips to Varenna, dining recommendations, and pamphlets were available for many other wonderful activities. We will definitely return. Let me first say that we have stayed at a lot of Airbnb’s as well as hotels on trips before. This was, by far, the best air bnb experience we have ever had. The place is exactly like it is described except better in person. The thing that makes this our best air bnb experience is the absolute beauty of the place and location combined with Guilia’s help. I can’t go on enough about how helpful she was to us from recommendations to helping with transportation to and from different places. She was so informative and even helped us with a taxi late at night after we missed our original ferry drop off. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful and affordable Lake Como place. You won’t find anything better.

Slavka+Salvatore are great hosts and very helpful. We had an issue with the car and Slavka helped us a lot with the workshop. Salvatore brought us a large basket of fresh tomatoes from the garden on the first day. The garden is huge and the area in front of the apartment is very nice for your own use. The apartment is quietly located in a residential area. The center with many shopping opportunities and the beach are about 5 minutes away by bike. It was a wonderful vacation. We will definitely be back!

amazing airbnb, we only stayed a couple nights but thoroughly enjoyed our time here! the outside area was fantastic great for having something to eat/drink. one of the best airbnbs we have stayed at, hosts were fantastic and the location is perfect for the lake and getting the shuttle bus back to malpensa

Angelo's apartment is precisely the type of place you hope all Airbnb accommodation will be. It's comfortable, spacious, well furnished, clean and accessible from your point of arrival, with an attentive host. Although positioned on a busy road, the apartment is largely insulated in winter from the sound of traffic.

This stay was exactly what we needed for a few days in Lake Como. It was very close to a bus stop, and near the Villa Olmo which was beautiful. We used the kitchen multiple times to cook dinner and appreciated the comfortable bed. I recommend for anyone needing a comfortable stay in Como!

Elena was a phenomenal host and we absolutely loved her Airbnb listing. She was so hospitable, catered to our requests, was very responsive, and the Airbnb itself was great. Lots of space, quiet, and super close to the airport- which was really convenient. The additional service of having the shuttle to the airport, was such a great perk of this Airbnb, that truly made it worth it for us. The studio is enchanting and with a lot of love for detail and very tastefully decorated. We immediately felt at home. Maria Laura is a very nice host who really thinks of everything. She had many useful and lovely little touches ready for our baby, so we can also recommend staying with a child. The apartment is cozy, has a nice little outdoor area and kitchen and bathroom are well equipped - every little thing is thought of. Despite the slightly larger street it is very private and quiet and everything is easily accessible. Private parking is right outside. The bed was the most comfortable in four weeks vacation, which was mainly because there were normal duvets and not the sheets usual in Italy. We would come back anytime and would love to stay longer. Thank you!!

The place is in a great location and offers plenty of space, making it perfect for a comfortable stay. It was clean, well-kept, and had everything we needed. The quiet surroundings made it even more relaxing. Highly recommended.
