Vacation rentals in Lucayan Archipelago

This is a very convenient location and super comfortable. It’s across from the main grocery store and central to Exuma. It worked perfectly for us. Nice new appliances, great A/C, parking, and fast WiFi.

Thatch Bay Cottage is by far the best Airbnb we have EVER stayed at!! Everything was perfect. The house itself is absolutely stunning, and the location is out of this world beautiful. No filter needed, and yes the water is that blue!! Looks like aqua blue kool-aid! Very private setting. The house is so relaxing. We stayed with two kids ages 11 & 13 and they gasped when we pulled in the driveway. They spent days snorkeling in the ocean right in front of house, it was extremely calm. They found live conchs and starfish and all kinds of fish. Tropic of Cancer beach is literally right out of the driveway. We cooked at the cottage all week, and there was everything we needed other than the food. Pots/pans. Spices, condiments. Toiletries were also provided. The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive. We wouldn’t consider renting a different house after staying at Thatch Bay Cottage. BOOK IT! You will not regret it!!! 10 stars ⭐️

Wow, just wow! Debs place was stunning. The private beach was gorgeous, fishing was so much fun, I bought a pole while I was at browns marina and caught little groupers and snapper right off the beach. We kayaked to the sand bar out back and then walked to the island behind the sand bar. What a wonderful day! We were there for 14 days. It still wasn’t enough. We made dinner in her lovely kitchen and went out some nights too. We enjoyed movie nights and played cards and made cocktails. We snorkled out back as well. From the beach we saw sea turtles, lemon sharks and a sting ray hunting fish. We took pictures of the Milky Way at night on the deck by the water. And had our coffee every morning with the view. We drove to every beach on the island but in the afternoon we came back to our slice of heaven. This home was spectacular and we had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. Deb will answer all your questions and is so helpful! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It was a short stay but Beau was a great host. Very friendly and he responded to all our questions in a timely manner. Would definitely stay again.

Mere words cannot describe the beauty of this place. But I will do the best I can and hope it helps. The facilities were perfect for the three of us. I have an adult daughter with disabilities who is in a wheelchair sometimes. It was easy for her to move around the house and the big shower in the master bedroom was perfect. Sharika was kind enough to offer suggestions and provide every possible Accommodation for us to stay. The front yard is mostly beach but also includes a small marina and an aquarium full of beautiful sea creatures. We stayed for seven days and only saw two other guests on the beach. It was like having a private beach all to ourselves. The marina does have some traffic with locals , leaving in the morning and sometimes returning at night, but it did not distract from our peaceful time. Going into town for supplies only took a few minutes in the rental car. You can also take a water taxi to the stores and other tour locations. We will stay again.

The host was so flexible and understanding. She was pleasant and met every expectation. The accommodations were quiet and conveniently placed couple mins away from a shop and eateries. Would definitely stay again!

My family of four had plenty of room in the villa. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were a great size. The air conditioning worked perfectly. We dined at the on-site restaurant several evenings at the beginning of our stay but cooked the rest of the time. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. We brought our masks and snorkels and went out right from the deck outside the door. When we made our way to the north and crossed over to Jolly Hall Beach, we thought we had entered heaven on earth. Having that beach so close to the property was an immeasurable amenity. Linda provided everything we needed for our trip to Exuma Island, including travel beach chairs for 4 people, a travel shade (which we didn't use as we found shade under trees at every beach), a large plastic tub with handles, beach towels, and several travel coolers. It felt like walking into our own vacation home. Linda, thank you for everything!

All the reviews are spot on… 5 star experience! The house is lovely and the views are stunning. Tami and Seron were so helpful and we were fortunately able to meet Gail as well. Couldn’t have asked for better white glove treatment. Very responsive on inquiries and we were escorted in and were shown around. Seron offered trash pickup and replacement towels, but we didn’t need them. The house has all you need for the basics. We recommend Smitty’s for groceries. It was our fav and seemed to have a bit better prices. As for the road from Queens to get to the house (12-15 min) we got to experience a major renovation while we were there. While it was difficult to navigate the construction, we can safely say it is hugely improved as of Dec 2024. The potholes are down by about 60+%. I still recommend an SUV in general for the island and the back road. It’s worth the extra, 100%! Highly recommend a kayak ride, chat n chill (use A1 Taxi for sure), Splash bar, and bug spray. We will be back!!
